This is awesome man, I love seeing progress videos like this because I relate to them. I started playing just about 9 months ago and I’m really enjoying it so far. It’s always super cool to see other people on the same journey as me because its inspiring. keep up the good work brother, I’m looking forward to seeing more. c:
I say this because I don't play or practice with metronomes, have you never listened to the songs either? To me copying a songs rhythm is is easier than getting the notes right, and you were getting it wrong after a year, most if not all of the songs you are playing have accurate tabs online so it's easy to find the right notes, and you can either listen to the tabs being played, or just listen to the song. I'm baffled by this excuse for bad rhythm Still decent for a years progress
@@jeffyboi3087 I do find tabs, but not everyone’s tabs are the same. But yeah I just try to match the song I’m playing with how I hear it. I wouldn’t say it’s an excuse, I would just want someone who is just starting guitar to understand that a metronome would help.
Tip: work on your up picking, and use your right hand palm to mute the top strings to stop open strings from ringing while playing, been playing for 2 years now and this helped alot hope it can help you too
Backing tracks are really useful for learning the timings of when to play your notes. I’ve been playing for a year and a half and backing tracks make you feel like you’re actually playing in a band! Keep practicing!
this progress is very realistic. Don't get it twisted though these clips will be after a lot of practice on taht particular song. Not saying in a negative way. People who have been playing for years who post covers will do the same.
not bad! im just starting to learn guitar after bein outa highschool for almost a year now. took a guitar class and realised i wanted to learn more. flash forwards now and i got myself a acoustic 6 string. a really nice tab that im learning that isnt too hard is the bassline from "corporeal" by the broadcast. u should try learning it its pretty easy and only took me about 15 minutes to learn.
TIP: and also your playing the songs to fast on fade to black intro solo and to fast on smells like teen spirit ( only a little ) *BUT* floods was awesome i have been playing for 7 years and im ready to join the crew * ( I subscribed ) *
Why does every guitarist learn tapping 1 year in thinking they're that guy 😂 i remember learning eruption thinking i was the shit and then saw tosin abasi 😭

One thing I forgot to mention. I have never used a metronome. I’ll say, I should’ve used one at least some.😂

You should invest in a standard scale length guitar instead of the 3/4 scale

@notreX0X0 I just enjoy music and I think that part in eruption is a cool part and it’s honestly not that hard to play so why wouldn’t I learn it
real
hating for no reason let dude play what he likes
@@Hans_SolosKeep playing music that inspires you, f the haters lol. Best way to improve is by playing music you like.
@@Hans_Solos no shade, it's just funny how all guitarists went down the same path. We've all been there.
Why so many different guitars?
Just 2. The black one is my sister’s and the red one is mine.
1:09 is that shit even plugged in
It obviously is
