I love Lalo and Howard’s performance in this scene. Truly incredible.
Lmfao nice singing amirite?
AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA
Who was the fly, Howard or Lalo?
They are under the lab.
Bro 💀
"How is this lab powered?"
"Necromancy, son. Two men were buried here, one good, one evil, forever battling one another. Their struggle generates all the energy we'll ever need."
Jesus Christ
😂😂
Golden comment
I LOVE YOU 😂😂
When Gus uses the power of nanomachines:
"quite a lot of planning went into this " is an understatement and Vince took that line and made it to a great plot point in BCS
Great observation
Vince actually hasn't had much to do with the writing of BCS since the end of Season 2, he decided to give the reigns to Peter Gould and rather get to see the story unfold from his trustworthy hands. Peter Gould is actually the writer who created the Saul Goodman character and had Bob Odenkirk in mind from the start.
Bravo Vince!
Shout out Peter Gould
There was a plot hole because of the flash back of Gail in the lab in braking bad
I love the music in this scene. It sounds like something straight out of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, or a fairy tale. It capures Walt's feelings regarding the lab perfectly.
Great observation!
I came to the comment section looking for this exact same comment, glad I was not disappointed hah. It was all I could think of when I first saw this scene
yeah.. or like Harry Potter music
Sounds a bit creepy or ominous to me.
I thought of the same thing
Scene is so much creepier realizing what’s buried underneath
I really liked Walt and Gus’s relationship before they became enemies. The mutual respect is overwhelming.
Unfortunately, Jesse had to ruin it.
They were never friends just good acquaintances
@@KD400_ yeah you stated the obvious
@@xxsaurabhxx3731 I think its more that these are men who are willing to kill their friends.
@@KD400_ Business partners is a better term. They both benefited eachother greatly and acknoledged that they are both incredibly good at what they do, and when that skill is combined they make alooooooooooooot of money. Gus is (almost) strictly business so I'd imagine that that's where the respect ends, but there are positive feelings on either end.
a lot of ppl overlook it but this is also a comment on Walt's expertise as chemical engineer. Scaling up a lab process to full scale production takes expertise. And to think - the purity never dropped below 99%..
*he and gus then look at each other* why are we even doing meth!? *Series end*
As a chemical engineer, I concur 100% with this statement.
As a meth chemist, I concur 99.1% with this statement.
@@ave789 wai a min..
As a meth addict, I'm clucking at this statement.
was Gus the villain here? wish my boss told me you can choose your own hours. i wouldnt even think about blowing half of his face off
Yeah. He's pretty much a villain. Your bar on what makes a villain must be pretty frikkin high.
Yes he very much is, and the problem is Walt is also a villain (well antihero technically, but you get the idea) and two ambitious villains don't like to share in the glory for too long.
People like to pretend that Jesse ruined what was otherwise a perfectly sustainable relationship between Walt and Gus. Nothing about Walt's power-hungry personality suggests this is even remotely possible. They mutually viewed each other as a means to an end, nothing more. If not Jesse, something else would inevitably put a rift between them. Walt was, more than anything else, determined to not spend the last year of his life playing second fiddle to anyone.
@@victorconway444 Didn't Walt save Jessie from those 2 dealers? It broke Gus's trust!
Gus IS a villian, but so is Walt in his own right. However, Gus is also a businessman and it is good business to keep your key workers happy so that they are motivated to work with you willingly.
The eventual issue was that Gus is also a man of his word and crossing him has it's costs.
@@mabiguy1 Like Werner Ziegler who lied to Gus and Gustavo killed him. That is why Gus and Mike Kept Telling Walt to let Jessie go. Gus had other plans for Walt and Gale!
I was expecting Gus to start singing "Come with me, and you'll be, in a world of chemical equation"
This comment is underrated 😂
truly underated good sir
lol good one!!
So Hank's guess on W.W. being Willy Wonka was correct after all.
This right here is a good comment
Knowing Lalo and Howard are buried right underneath that floor is truly spooky knowing this fact now
The blood colored tiles....
why did you spoil this for me clown
@@sxnsesthis shows been out for years tf, dont read the comments if you haven’t seen it yet
Everyone talks about how great Walt and Gus are in this scene, but I think Howard really steals the show.
@XBones nah, Lalo is the one that really makes this scene!
That one was such a low blow it would be best to just bury it right and there.
Bruh
underrated comment
🤣very good
As a secret bonus: the lab even had an extra thick layer of concrete at its foundation to block the stench of rotting bodies underneath.
Well Breaking Bad happens a few years After Howard’s and Lalo’s death so i assume there is nothing more than some ashes!
@@Mr.Therizinosaurus There's still skeletons at the very least, bones don't decompose that quickly. See dinosaur bones still being found today.
@@AizensPlan Okay true Maybe Some bones then. Though I know the bodies Hank and Steve discovered in the drugslab ain’t Lalo’s and Howard’s body’s, I still like to believe that!
@@AizensPlan If you had said thousands of years rather than dinosaur bones id be able to agree........ dinosaur bones arnt bones . They are a product of an indentation left behind where a bone once was and now filled in with water deposits . They are rock not bone .
@@Mr.Therizinosaurus It was Gus's guys who Walt shot when he saved Jesse, it wasn't Howard and Lalo
Something I love about this scene is that Gus isnt in his usual, brooding, emotionless self. There’s pride in the help for setting up the lab, amusement seeing Walter understand the equipment, and even some smirks here and there. It’s kinda refreshing, honestly.
That Gus "isn't" brooding, you mean?
@@bbmcrae oh yeah, fixed it. Thanks friend
Similar to how he plays up his happier aspects when he's around Gale
1:50 "The filtration system is state of the art" - I love how he mentioned the filtration system - as it is what hank uses to begin his suspicions about Gus. Remember they found a scrap of Pollos Hermano's to-go bag with the requisition number for the industrial filtration system in Gale's apartment. "Whats a vegan doing eating fried chicken"
I love how you said "the filtration system is what causes Hank's suspicion" and then proceeded to describe how it was in fact the bag remnant
@jackstack … gooder!!!!
Can never look at this lab the same way again…
Could you explain? I haven't watched Better Call Saul

VERY underrated scene. Entranced me just like Walt when I saw it. Bryan Cranstons reactions are so childlike yet professional. He's in heaven. And the Willy Wonka-like music makes it almost magical...
@@VicenzoV yeah but it doesnt mean he was totally enthralled and in love with the lab

Not a lot of people understand how good walt had it in the beginning. Choose his own hours. Millions of dollars per year. All he had to do was do his job, just like Mike said.
And it wasn't even forever. 3 years tops.
@@falconeshield if walts cancer didnt kill him gus would after that time
what do you mean? walt broke the partnership by saving jesse. by doing his own job he and jesse end up dead, mike and gus benefit. mike is just angry that he lost.
@@thephoenix4093 Walter was in no danger of being murdered by Gus so long as he did his job. It was only after Walter ran over those two dealers that Gus wanted him removed. Mike was right.
@@jericho4lie he ran over those dealers to save Jesse's life. Its nothing related to ego. And is by far the most selfless action Walter did in this series.
They enjoyed such a respectful, mutually beneficial relationship - and then along came Jesse.
@Dzevat Kolenovic Yeah you're right. Walt was ambitious, even when he pretended not to be. Jesse just made things more complicated.
Gus was planning to kill Walt from the very beginning, he just wanted to learn and steal his recipe first via Gale, Jesse pinkman didn’t really ruin anything he saved Walt actually
@Dzevat Kolenovic innocents? I’m sorry, innocents?
@@All_Amin You're gonna have to cite your sources on that one.
@Dzevat Kolenovic Jesse did ruin their agreement with Gus when he decided to kill the gang bangers tho

The music just hits different. It has a spooky vibe now.
"There's really no need to-"
Rip Howard and Lalo
The music in the background becomes more creepy and when gus says “a lot of planning went into this” he sure meant it after seeing bcs
Not to mention knowing that both Lalo and Howard are buried underneath their footsteps.

I can't remember. What was?
@@paulaazevedo3872 Lalo and Howard's bodies. Gus buried them underneath the superlab instead of risking a disposal outside.
Probably a good thing Gus didn't mention that tbh.
I love Walter's expression of wordless joy and wonder, and his smile at the end. A man who was constantly belittled, downtrodden, and underestimated, being seen by someone as the expert he really is, and being given the implements his skill deserve. I wonder why Gus didn’t pay Walt through madrigal like Mike. A chemistry consultant would fit right in and solve many problems. Plot hole?
Huh, I never though about that.
The only explanation I can think of is that Walt had cancer so it is unlikely he would make such a large career turn from a high school teacher to a chemistry consultant. Also, why would a company employ a person who doesn’t have much longer to live? I might be wrong though.
