D4 is targeting a casual audience. Therefore is going to sell many copies. As d3 did. They dont care about depth or what hardcore gamers think. And thats sad.
@@sotoskun861 I'd say it's targeting a mainstream audience which consists of all types of players. Virtually everyone plays Blizzard games, incl hardcore gamers. @@Enfetamina Lol yeah ikr. I dont want to have to think this much just to make a build to play an action RPG. I wish there were games that were more complex than D3 but less complex than PoE
@@scarlet8078 It's not a problem with thinking too much as it's really not that hard to plow through the game and destroy everything. All the min maxing people do is not required, especially if you play a spell or minion build. My issue with the game has more to do with the gameplay itself. PoE is riddled with dev decisions that I don't agree with (speed meta, shitty co-op, trading, the atlas, sulfite requirements) and I feel the playerbase is too rigid to ever allow for change. -It's not a bad game but I can rarely last longer than a week with each new season before getting bored.
A lot of people conplaining thats to much stuff. This expansion makes clear that you dont have to do all existing mechanics. Choose some, farm currency on those, buy the stuff that you are not farming and min/max your build. The only mandatory thing is to get watchsones and complete your atlas bonuses.
Well, the story is told really badly. The combat is a mess, nothing has a cooldown so you just pick one skill from early levels and use that for the rest of the game (similar to Diablo 2), the combat is WAY WAY too fast and everything is about speed. There is ONE cutscene in the entire game and that's not even good. The content is bloated, there's just too much of everything. You basically need to buy stash tabs if you want to play the game after playing the campaign (it's not much, only like, 10 euroes to get what you need). 90 % of the armour looks incredibly bad (not the ones you can buy for real money, they look amazing). One armour skin costs like 20 euroes, so the store is highly overpriced. But the game has good customization for your character, the passive skill tree is kinda big (but so, so many useless nodes) and there is bound to be at least one way for you to enjoy the game. I'd recommend it if you prefer min/maxing and nitpicking on your gear, but not if you're into smooth gameplay and story. Diablo 1 > Grim Dawn > Diablo 3 > Path of Exile > Titan Quest > Torchlight 1/2 > Diablo 2.
as a huge diablo fan aswell (diablo 2 mainly) PoE is what Diablo 3 should have been , many diablo fan said PoE is more of a diablo 2 successor than D3 is. Diablo 3 was a huge disapointment for me and many diablo fans, There is a reason why PoE is still HUGE after all these years, the game is very overwhelming with all the content and customization but it's 100% worth it if you are into diablo or any arpg at all , by far the best.
@@masterace1071 If you think that is an essay, I don't blame you for liking Path of Exile that much... Also, Diablo 3 is very different from Path of Exile, you can't say it's better or worse. Funny how the expansion focuses on how far you can push yourself with your power, but this coming Expedition league everything is getting nerfed. Doesn't really fit with theme of the expansion.
So basically GGG just flipped the middle finger to gaining any new players. The game already is so based around RnG that its just not fun anymore, everything literally everything is based on RnG. Now instead of making the base game more accessible to new players and growing your player base they are just adding in even more complex and confusing mechanics that will ultimately end up breaking the core gameplay just like nearly every league has done so far. Tailoring your game only to your most hardcore player base is not a good idea for longevity of a game. Sure these players are the ones that are spending the most money on the store but this wont last forever.
It's not confusing. It's boring. Those 10k different things aren't that different. At their core they force you to repeat hack and slash to the extremes, so no wonder you're fed up. If only the players had to consider altitude, this would make some portion of the repetition more interesting and bearable. You may stretch the game only so far before its back breaks. Too much shooting and looting ruins a looter-shooter just as too fast speedrunning ruins a horror game. PoE is not an exception. Its back will break sooner or later if it doesn't receive a balancing act. They should consider making an MMO and widen the approach methods the players have. Current approach hasn't changed much since the beginning, albeit couple leagues do try their best to diverge from it. It's just not enough.
@@Tyrannimarja I am sorry, but you just come of as a random dude, who this game is just not for.
