I created this video from the LP depicted above, issued on the Concert Hall Society label, Concert Hall Society Annual series, 7, release G-1. The Winterthur Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Walter Goehr. Program notes by James Lyons on back of slipcase.

Thank you so much for uploading these recordings of Rostal. One of my dearest teachers was for many years a student of Rostal in England and in Switzerland, and I still have a copy of the G Major Romance with Rostal's fingerings ... very musical and sensible in my view, as they bring the solo line under the fingers and make the part and its inherent intonational difficulties feel easy and secure, and at the same time bring out the musical/artistic expression .
