When you bleach or color treat locs you have to do protein treatments to rebuild the strength of the hair strands. This will fix moisture retention issues and prevent breakage. Regular deep moisture conditioning treatments are important too. Also I saw how your hair was bleached. As soon as I saw the person apply bleach to your roots before letting the ends process and not rinsing the bleach then applying bleach to your roots to match the results you got from the ends, I knew you’d end up with hot roots. The roots come last when bleaching. Your color came out beautiful though. I thought about lightening my brows too but I chickened out.
It definitely changes the strength of the locs, I cut mine, if I opt for color on the next journey, I will have the color installation first, then start my last I mean last and final journey😮😂😂😂
I felt forced to dye my locs bc of lint but I’ll keep trying with the semi permanent colors. I really don’t want to put chemicals on my locs. Especially since I have started locs. Lint is enemy #1 right now. It almost made me reconsider having locs. But I love my hair so far, I hope these rinses work. I just need the lint covered! ALSO you are soooo cute saying “pneumonia” instead of ammonia lol you have beautiful locs and I was actually going to dye my locs the color you have yours in this video but I’ve changed my mind!
Long term commitment and change in texture was expected for me but I should have taken it more seriously. Plus my hair was shedding like crazy so a loss of hair for the locing process.
Super informational. You made really good valid points. I am not coloring my hair

How did you get this color vs the more red tint in your other vids? Is it just the color fading, cause it looks great!
