The layout looks really nice, I would highly recommend back buttering any large format tile in order to ensure proper adhesion.

I Always butter the back. They never make a void sound.

I've just completed watching several of your siding installation vids.. Am I being too intrusive to ask where the sq. foot pricing landed for this phase? We are strongly considering going this route for our new build. Thank you..

We absolutely love it! I know steel has gone up but we paid $9-10 per linear foot. If you are local or around Branson, we definitely recommend Seamless Experts.

It's cement board on top of a concrete floor... there's no real need for an uncoupling membrane because the substrate won't move. Back buttering tile is important for surface coverage, though, and finishing your trowel grooves in only one direction prevents air pockets from being trapped when pressing the tile firmly into the mortar.

Oh you are laying on some kind of cement board.... so not really a uncoupling membrane beneath it.. i hope you save quite a few tiles if there are cracks down the road. Ditra or one of the membrane would have been better as the sq footage for the tiles is not very big..
