The earth already dying when the alien found it. The planet become a wasteland. The alien came and kinda rebirth the earth.
There are still hudden human colony but oh boy they are hate alien

No ,it can't be true because we saw the golden gate bridge, which is located in america ,and why would the go to such extent to build the replica of the bridge 🌉 when the had advanced technology and can build much advanced structures

I only know this from another comment: The planet they're on is earth but turned into a wasteland and humans went away while aliens started living there. The guy coming to pick the girl up is from the part of humanity that moved away but are apparently doing better than the ones left behind on earth who live in hiding. Haven't found an exact reason yet why the aliens hate humans so much though.
