It could possibly be safe to assume that Sensei Wu possibly may know and remember Skybound's events, and adding it to the mural, even if he presumably would not share it with the Ninja who don't remember.

the thing is that a lot of things are being told from the official writers accounts rather than in the show itself sadly.
anyway, tommy andreason (the co-creator from the pilot to s15) said that jay and nya told wu about everything.
also a small thing, the season did happen. it only got reversed. in s7 ep 10 when the time twins were time travelling, you could see some moments from s6 in the time vortex along with other seasons
believe me ninjago can really get confusing at times 💀

Edit: It makes sense that Wu would remember season 6 because remember he was lost in time for a while, plus he also had all of his memories restored in the last season, therefore it fits the continuity pretty well.

I’m gonna explain the breakdown of Skybound Rules or What’s Canon and what did happen. So the only people that really remember it are Jay and Nya, Nadakkhan remembers it because for the wish to exist he has to have some knowledge of what happened before, It is been teased that Zane to some extent remembers it because he’s a robot can remember forgotten data/events even if it’s been wiped from his memory and with that Pixal also would know as well but probably bound to the wish and probably not wanting to undue the effects of the wish he probably keeps it to himself and keeping Nya alive in the process by not speaking of It in general. It also believed Wu does remember Skybound do to his wisdom and having access to various Teas at his disposal that allow him to see visions into the future or events erased from history. The final person I believe remembers is Yang because he’s bound to the Haunted Temple until he choses someone to replace him as the ghost of the temple.
Keep in mind not everything was reversed in Skybound like Yangs Haunted Temple will forever remain Floating in the Air, the Teapot will always be in the background and show up anywhere but do to the wish the Ninja are oblivious to its existence and if they do catch a glimpse of it it’s just brushed off as just a regular lamp. And of course Djinnago still crumbled and died because of the Cursed Realm died that would have happened regardless but the Sword of Souls still remained in Ninjago but is kept in The Labyrinth with all the other artifacts. And Jays Father Cliff died regardless but he doesn’t want to claim it because he it’s not who he is hes proud of where he comes from and that’s the Junkyard not a Rich Actor and embraces who he is because Nya helped him see that.
Now originally Echo Zane was supposed to be Mr E in SoG but due to time and having to rework the whole skybound thing and explain to the ninja who Echo Zane they just decided to make Mr E a upgraded Nindroid that Harumi made presumably made out of leftover parts from the Nindriods in S3 after most of them were etheir scrapped or reprogrammed into the White Nindroids you saw in Season 6
Now there are a few Ninjago Books that are canon called the Dark Island Trilogy that are after Skybound and Before Day of the Departed but aren’t mentioned in the show but on the Marul on the wall featuring Clouse is depicting that adventure so if your curious about that adventure it’s called the Dark Island Trilogy and it is canon and takes place a right after Skybound with Clouse being the main villain that story and with the help of some of the Sky Pirates that Jay and Nya remember they help them build new vehicles that you see at the beginning of Day of the Departed and stop Clouse and he is Banished to the Underworld like Garmadon was so he remains there and from then on hasn’t been mentioned of since
So the reason I have all settled on is Jay and Nya filled all of them in on Skybound leaving out the Teapot Nadakkhan himself and the whole wedding thing. Afterwards Jay and Nya decide for the sake of the wish to keep existing they never bring up Skybound and Nadakkhan being a Djinn who can grant wishes ever again but know in their hearts what happened. With Jay and Nya continuing their happy relationship and sometimes reflect on how it brought them closer together
This beginning was a really cool way of introducing the Oni and the creepy black cloud with tendrils quite eerie. March of the Oni is quite underrated though I will admit the short 4 episode season really holds it back. I especially love the intro for this season because it really makes you nostalgic for how far the show has come since this was intended to be the end of the show
Although I think this season works great as a Finale to the original 10 seasons of Ninjago… as a Season on its own it kind of sucks.
The villain is just evil for the sake of being evil, hey, certain, impactful event is resolved within a day, and it feels weird that there’s a mural of sky bound in the monastery, considering Nia and Jay are the only ones that are meant to remember it. I mean, I can assume that the pair just told everyone else about it at some point after sons of Garmadon, but it’s a bit are they just took them at their word. For all the rest of the ninja know, Nia and Jay could’ve just been making the story up.
The saving grace of this short season is the feeling of legacy and Finale at showcases, and I really like Lloyd and Garmadon’s interactions. You can tell they have an estranged familial relation. There’s still a bit of that love from the early seasons there, but it’s suppressed

this season is a close call between possession for my favorite season
I do hope you enjoy this season, atleast a little bit. A lot of people say it ruined the trilogy. Personally to me it's not the worst thing but still falls flat in places.

0:16 Yeah, it's the end of the masters of spinjitzu era of the show (moving on the next era is just plainly called Ninjago, not Ninjago masters of spinjitzu), starting of season 11 there will be a different animation studio (WiFilm switched to Wildbrain studios) and also switch to the 11 minute format
Kinda sucks that next season takes a dive, the oni trilogy was apparently too dark so they toned it down and made season 11 really goofy and childish but it picks back up and gets more serious again

Considering how there are technically 17 seasons of Ninjago to date, I'm a little concerned that there isn't a reliable phone number for the Monastery of Spinjitzu, the Destiny's Bounty, or any of the individual Ninja.

Fun fact: the trailer of the season that got extras that were not in the season implied that the oni have already invaded the underworld and the cloud kingdom along with the show telling they took over the First realm and Garmadon maybe implying they invaded the departed realm too maybe

S10 is the weakest part of the Oni Trilogy for being to short but it’s still has great moments in it and it’s decent end to the Masters Of Spinjitzu era.
I think wu somehow remembers sky bound because Dareth and Kai don't know what jays talking about when he points out the mural
Think of this more as a TV movie than a season, you'll enjoy it more. It doesn't quite reach the highs of the previous seasons, but it is very enjoyable for its runtime
btw this is the last Season animated by Willfilm, Seasons 11 and beyond are animated by Wildbrain

A lot of people hate on S10, I definitely have my problems with it. However I still enjoy it.
Also its implied that Nya and Jay filled the others in on the events of S6/Skybound.
All the murals are in the intro, its great. Also one of murals displays the events of the Dark Island Trilogy which happened in the comics, when Clouse returned.

So what exactly is the story of the oni here? At some point they left their city, moved to another part of the First Realm and used the realm crystal to attack Ninjago? Or did they eventually die out, got sent to the departed realm and used the crystal to escape?

I think they went to a realm we didn't see yet. Like they've been hiding somewhere.
