Toda Raba for your great videos! Now that we are at the end times, HaShem is providing a way for everyone on earth to come back to Him, to do teshuva, to learn His language Hebrew, and to learn more about Judaism. Toda Raba for being a light to the nations, being instrumental in His prophetic plan! May HaShem return the 136 hostages held in Gaza and bless you and all Am Yisrael abundantly. Am israel Chai!

Just something to think about. Since you are interested in Hebrew, which is great, Jesus is not a Hebrew name. The Almighty never called his son Jesus. He told Mary and Joseph to give him the same name as Joshua, though since there is no J in Hebrew, his actual name was Yahushuah.
      That means Yahuah (YHWH) saves.
As was certainly the case for me in the past, before I knew better, I would pray to God and Jesus.
As has been the case for countless millions. And since he is the father of Mercy, we could still get our prayers answered.
But now that I know better, I personally want to use the names as seen in the ancient documents, like the dead sea scrolls.
The Lords prayer begins, telling us that holy, set apart, is to be the name of the Almighty. We can’t really keep his name holy if we are calling him something he never called himself at any time, namely God.

@@loricalass4068 If you really care that much about what his name was in Hebrew, then you should learn Hebrew, since this is inaccurate nonsense. In Hebrew, his name would have ben Y'hoshua3 (the 3 represents a glottal stop at the end of his name, not pronounceable by most English speakers). But also the New Testament is written in Greek, which Galileans commonly spoke in the first century, and it is given as Iesous. If you want to reverse reconstruct his Aramaic name, also spoken commonly, then it was Yeshua or Yesu, which is really quite close to the Greek, and the English is not far off. I'm not sure why his Hebrew name would matter since first century Jews did not speak Hebrew. The moral of the story is, if you are going to go around *correcting* people, you should probably learn the subject you're discussing. Also Yahuah? Really? Lol okay...

@@jmariagarcia I stand by what I said. First of all, I am learning Hebrew, so that I can read the Bible in Hebrew.
There is some scholarly evidence that the New Testament was written originally in Hebrew. Even the so-called church fathers have claimed that.
But there is no reason to believe that Messiah and his apostles and his parents spoke Greek as their primary language.
For example, when we are told that Messiah would be called Emmanuel, was that Greek? No it was Hebrew.
When Yahushuah said “Talitha cumi” he was speaking in Hebrew because the word cumi
means arise. It is not a Greek word at all.
When he was on the cross, he cried out to Eli
which in Hebrew, and certainly not in Greek, means my God.
My friend, you are the one who is acting like you’re knowledgeable, when you are really not at all.
First century Jews may have spoken Greek sometimes, just like people in modern Israel sometimes speak English because it is such a predominant language in the culture.
But we have all kinds of written records showing that basically they spoke Hebrew.
The fact that you were saying L O L to my post means to me that you go into the category of troll talkers. Consequently, to keep from wasting your precious time and mine, you are now on mute.
I pray that people will be protected from your pseudo scholarship. And ridicule.

    • @jmariagarcia
      @jmariagarcia 14 днів тому

@@loricalass4068 Hi so 'talitha cum(i)' is Aramaic, not Hebrew. When Jesus says 'Eli Eli lama sabachthani' he specifically quotes the verse from Psalms in Aramaic and not in Hebrew. In fact everywhere in the New Testament where it says "in Hebrew" it means Aramaic. In Koine Greek of the first century, Aramaic was called Hebrew, but no one was speaking Hebrew, it was Aramaic. We know that because all the "Hebrew" quotes in the Greek text are actually in Aramaic. I read and teach Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and have worked as a Bible translator. There's a difference between "sacred name" conspiracy theories and scholarship. There is no scholarly evidence whatsoever that Hebrew was a commonly spoken language in the first century. Nor is there any evidence, with the exception of Matthew, that any part of the New Testament was written in Hebrew Jesus didn't speak Hebrew. He probably knew liturgical Hebrew the same way very religious Jews do today. It was not a spoken language for first century Jews.

@@loricalass4068 Regarding ridicule, I'm sorry if I mistook the tone of your original comment, but it came off to me as self righteous and ignorant. When you are on the internet spreading information about a topic you barely understand, you will be corrected by people who know better. You could use that as an opportunity to learn more instead of getting defensive. This misinformation is very common on the Internet and is used to brainwash people into joining religious cults. I will speak up whenever I see it. If you would like some resources for learning real Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, or any of the other languages I'm trained in, I'm happy to oblige.
