    I love the word "symptomatic"
Its all about the WHY not the what.
Super happy you're shedding light on this in coaching.
    Good work brother
p.s. love your authenticity! However, disagreement is a good thing and productive. I don't know if its fair to shit on any one coach or coaching system like "Virge's system is wrong" (or even right). Don't think any one coach is right or wrong 100% of the time. its all about the situation, the player, and their tendencies. Regardless, I love that you're authentic and not scared to speak ur mind. keep doing what you're doing!
    great content

Although I am not a fan of your coaching program, I do respect your opinion and you definitely have the right idea about how to coach and be a leader. The hardest thing about coaching/teaching is leading and guiding rather than just telling.

I do think the topic of coaching is interesting. Involving psychology and duty. Feels like emotional intelligence is a factor for team composition. Being open minded per say.

a lot of coaching in the Rocket League scene just comes from normal GC's or even champs giving general advice to new players. a lot of this coaching you would probably call bad, because ya it probably is. but id have to disagree that no coaching would be better. there are some good points a gc player could make to a plat, even if its not "pro level strats".
i think your point holds up for someone trying to go pro, or even just get high gc2 or 3. because at that level every small detail matters and getting info from someone who has been pro is of course the best option. but is that really the best option for the majority of the playerbase? who's plat and diamond? i think all theyd need is for you to hit a flip reset in a private match to convince them that youd be a good enough coach lmao.
of course it is not ideal for a champ to coach a diamond, but hey, its just a video game at the end of the day.
edit: i enjoyed the video and i agreed with most of your points especially that coaching is a discussion , " So the first step is to figure out where they want to go, and then discuss where you want to go, and then reach a compromise somewhere."

      I like this a lot.
My problem essentially lies that although there can be some truth into GC2 coaching, I essentially have found myself reversing much of the knowledge and RETEACHING the game that THEY ALREADY SHOULD'VE KNOWN.
      You get me?
So yes, every small detail matters. But it matters from the beginning to the end. Not from just the end. If it's just the end that matters, then you have to relearn the game for tournament play, which at a high level is much more common than you might think.
They should get good coaching from start to finish.

I agree, I am a former GC and I have in the past tried to coach friends just to help them get get out of gold, plat, diamond or champ. I always say i'm not a professional and my word isn't gospel and I couldn't give them advice to get past gc1 but I just give them the advice I used or that worked for me to get to that level. Also If you're charging people money it's completely different. In that case you really need to have credentials to back it up.
