Then Dana spends a bunch of time mourning the death of Alex and trying to accept everything Blacklight Mercer explained to her. A few weeks pass and then Pariah shows up to fight Blacklight Mercer. Pariah was too strong to beat and he consumes Blacklight Mercer or Zeus. In doing so, Pariah gets his memories and personality added onto his own including Zeus's love for Dana so he infects Dana but makes sure she survives the infection so she will still be herself after awakening. The main goal of the game then becomes to hunt down and kill or consume Pariah for consuming Zeus Mercer. But after consuming Pariah near the end of the game, Dana realizes that Zeus/Blacklight Mercer is still technically alive or at least his mind is and now the complete minds and consciousnesses of both Zeus and Pariah are spending basically their afterlife inside Dana. The game ends with Dana asking herself "Am I really Dana?" and then Zeus answers "Yes you are".
