I remember this song longer than I can remember, I must've been like 3. My parents used to throw house parties for extra cash with their gangbanger friends in Chicago. Back then everyone had Technic's turntables & mixed parties live with vinyl. I'd be in the bedroom with the other kids being told we couldn't come out. Smelled pot for the first time as well. This and a few other tracks always stuck out as memories from back then
UA-cam has really turned into a goldmine for finding obscure old tracks! I still sing this one sometimes and it was one of the last vinyl 12'' I bought: Living in Swedish Lapland at that time I remember phoning a DJ shop in the capitol Stockholm and the owner playing it over the phone :) Now my record is long gone and it is so nice to find it here - thank you so much!!
I was 16 yrs old when i used to listen this on the radio mixshow V-103(Baltimore)... A group called the Numarx used to rock this joint mixing on 8 turntables🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@bahalospanty They were 4 djs each on 2 turntables mixing different songs back n forth ..The group from Baltimore who originally did the song Girl You Know It's True that Milli Vanilli did..B.Blase - Shame was part of their mix session ..I do know that i used to record their mixes off the radio
" I'm just your recreation we were dancing through the night . Shame ...you were the big sensation now I see no love in sight..." During the Italian/House movement this was the " big sesation " @ "Odell's" Balti, MD. It rocked the house.
Thanks for uploading, I had this song on a cassette taped from a pirate station back in the eighties, didn't even know the name of the group/artist then. UA-cam has indeed become some kind of time machine!
@HDJ Max, do you by any chance have a song that goes “you’re counting on the sheep in the sky, caught up in a world of lies, everyone knows that you’ve got ulterior motives, tell me the truth, every moves shows that…”?

🔥 🔥 🔥
No one ever needs 8 turntables
Honestly I don’t think there’s a mixer that could handle 8 turntable lines even in this day and age let alone in the 80s
Whoa 😳

Sounds revolutionary for 1984. Classic Italo Disco / House.
Big hit in the south Florida clubs when it came out…best times for sure
Right on. Was born in Naples in 1987. Lived on Marco Island. I can confirm this. Even as an infant, I knew this song was a jam!
I know but can’t get it on 🍎music. Shame

It's a shame that "Shame" doesn't have more views. At least more people learning about it because of Vox.
