Oh! I love cold weather , but I hate having a cold!
In Italian a cold person is one that doesn’t open up easily, and not necessarily because he/she is shy. “Cold blood “ we have the same in Italian, it’s “a sangue freddo” like the book by Truman Capote .
    Another cool-cold one Brent, grazie!

    Hi Brent,
Thanks a lot for this helpful lesson and by the same time for the nice winter landscapes.
Beside the bunch of words you've taught wich are related to "cold", I thought at the band "Cold play". Has this name a special meaning or has that name just been invented?
The indication of the temperature you gave in your lesson, did you talk about Fahrenheit or Celsius? Actually -10 °C is already quite cold but -10 °F is far colder like in Siberian! For instance, in northern France at the moment the coldest temperature is about -5°C in the morning and 5°C in the afternoon.
Can I say that our temperatures are quite mild compared with yours? Can I add the word "mild" in the word list "Freeze - Cold - Mild - Warm - Hot"?
Thanks a lot and best wishes from France.

Thank you, great video, but to tell the truth I supposed that winter and cold is associated only with bad things🤣. By the way, the polar plunge is very popular in Poland, in my town on every Sunday at 12 o'clock people are gathering at the pond's bank and plunge into the cold water, I would try but I am afraid of my heart. Have a nice evening🙂

Great point about cold being associated with bad things. Is it summer yet? Can we go to the beach yet? 😀

@@AmericanEnglishBrent we have to wait for summer, but winter is approaching to its end, in Poland snow is melting, 4 degrees over zero🙂

Some people here in my city Bergen on the Norwegian westcoast have this new year's tradition of doing the polar plunge every January and it always makes the newspapers because people think they're so brave. It would be a cold day in hell for me too before I ever participated in that kind of activity. Risking getting hypothermia from a freezing dip doesn't sound like my kind of thing haha 🥶😂

Thanks for showing a wood pecker. Once I was walking in a forest, suddenly I realized, a woodpecker is so close because he was busy hitting the tree, I could have touched it. Then the bird realized I was there, he tried to guess the danger I meant to him but he stayed for a while before he flew away.
I am almost sure I would also die if I had to do a polar plunge.
And how do you call that where the real killer is on the loose but the authorities stated (for some reason) that somebody else is the killer, probably making the killer to believe they are not looking for him anymore?

There is a tradition in Russia "cold plunge". We celebrate "Christianization of Rus" January 19 and a lot of those who believe In God jump into cold water . Of course it's not mandatory, only if you want ) Thanks for work Mr Brent !
