Confiscated Knives Mystery Lot! Score!

- Опубліковано 15 жов 2024
- I purchased a lot of 30 TSA confiscated knives in an ebay mystery box (grab bag). It included some survival knives, pocket knives, multi tools, and corkscrews. These are all knives people lost to airport security. Found multiple Cabelas brand knives and a real Swiss army knife.
Thanks for watching!
All I could think of watching this is that with the cadence and tone of your voice it was like watching Bob Ross looking at knives. Lolzzz and I say that as a good thing.
Thats me. The Bob Ross of knives. I like it.
damn if i was a tsa agent id have every swiss army knife i come across
Yeah, haha perks of the job I guess
I was under the impression that the agents would have first pickings, taking good brands like Victorinox and Leatherman, leaving the cheap no-brand knives but I guess not everyone is a knife person
@@hamstermunchies5558 they do
You've never owned a corkscrew? Interesting. I have a European background so I'm well-acquainted with wine from my teen years.
Cuvaison = koo-vay-zon, surely a brand name derived from French cuvée = wine harvest.
Li'l knife in corkscrew is to cut foil that protects proper wine cork.
Just a heads up the Coast folder still has a belt clip on it and its 4 position tip up and tip down interchangeable
Is that useful for people that want to change it because they are left handed? Or just tactical strategies?
@@Hoardster some prefer tip up or tip town and yes it is to be carried left pock or right, whatever your preference
Coast is a name brand.
I need a lot of knives for my work this is a great idea thanks for this video and the idea!!
No problem!
6:50 I have one of those! Personally I like it considering it was 5 bucks.
Confiscation is just a fancy word for stealing. You bought stolen goods.
You know most of the name brand (bench made, spyderco, crkt, etc) knives are pocketed by the TSA agents. Seems like a good job getting knives all the time
Right. I'm curious how many people actually lose their EDC to the TSA. Those agents could make good money selling them.
How many belt clips do you need man? it already had one on there.
Victoria Nox as is the queen and the hardening of Nitrous Oxide if I remember correctly is used in the 'new' harder alloy being a new factory. But 8 could be wrong.
The belt clips you said someone took off the black knife. Those are for putting the pocket clip in different positions for different types of carry, left hand tip up or tip down carry, and the same for right hand!
Sometimes I'm not the sharpest tool, if you know what I mean lol thanks!
@@Hoardster lol it happens to the best of us man. No worries I just wanted to let you know. I really dig the content.
The cork screw openers are designed for a waiter to carry and open wine bottles at the customers tables
Thanks!
The knife on the corkscrew is to cut the foil or paper off the top seals the cork. Very standard for bartenders to use one of those cheaper looking corkscrews for 6 months to a year and I've opened hundreds of bottles of wine no problem.
That explains why some are really dull
@@Hoardster yeah they are not that sharp to begin with and the edge is constantly rubbing in glass
Quick question if you buy tsa confiscated knives should you take them to your local police department
Why would you do that?
The coast knife has a removable pocket clip so you can make it tip up or tip down carry.
Isnt that more common on higher end knives?
Hoardster yes sir it is, but there are plenty of $20-$50 knives with the removable pocket clips, just adds that extra bit of personalization
Sad that this bag-o-crap is probably the best of these tsa knife bags. 4 decent knives and a SAK Classic.
Honest Dave tells it like it is 👍
The coast knife is a good 65$ and the Snap-on could be 50-80$ look them up.
Really? wow
they had the same exact tourist shop multitool knives at yosemite national park (obviously with yosemite branding, not pikes peak)
Yup. Saw them at Yellowstone too. Would be a cool souvenir
Multitools are pliers-based, and pocket knives blade-based. Victorinox makes both.
Tim Leatherman's innovation was the pliers-based tool set, called multitool.
Some Coast knives are ok. Some not. Cabela is not a brand. An outlet
That little Swiss Army knife is not pathetic. It is a small keychain grooming and utility kit.
Those TSA confiscations look picked over. Or maybe most serious knife carriers don't show up at the airport with a hundred dollar knife. Or they mail it home .
Yes sir.
Well that was painful
Glad you enjoyed!
Hoardster sorry I didn’t mean it bad
Victor inox, it's a combination of the founders wife's name, Victoria, and Inox, the internationally recognised name for stainless steel. Victorinox use their own stainless steel alloy. You'll see victorinox stamped on the main blade if genuine. BTW, that little one you have here is the Classic model, probably the most common model out there.
Thanks!
not to be mean or anything but the next time you do this kind of video, i would wear gloves because you never know who touched them or whats on the knife. just saying :)
That's true. I did let them sit for a few days before opening the package to ensure any germs were dead.
Hoardster that good to know.
So you got 1 Victorinox classic and a bunch of not really knives.
I guess you could say that
Wow.. Lucky u.. Can u whisper n my air where/how.. Enjoy knives😁and those expensive Parfums they confiscated at d busy x ray machine?
You got lucky. Most of the time these ‘mystery lots ‘ are just rubbish, not a Victorinox or Leatherman anywhere in sight.
The ones from ebay are always junk.
seriously, what the happy hell do u do with all these knives ????
Honestly, not much lol I plan on selling some of the nicer ones just to get rid of them. The junk sits in a very heavy box 😂
@@Hoardster that must be a BIG box !!!
Its not that big.. but its really heavy lol
Knives on corkscrews are for cutting the foil on a wine bottle btw
Why put the stupid foil anyway
@@Hoardster haha good point
If you have been to a swapmeet long enough, you’d know these are practically all the same unbranded chinese copies you see people sell by the box. Love watching these vids but I think i find the sellers on ebay are in all honesty liars selling what they got in a bulk buy that they know no one wanted
Vick-tore-inocks
Basically all junk, even the ones you put to the side. Maybe the Snap-On and Victorinox, or Victor Onyx as you said, lol, but the rest are junk. I do have one of the Cabelas multitools, mine has Bass Pro Shops on it instead, just cheapy china made thing that the retailer can get their brand put on it before they sell it, but it's a cheapy multitool I can keep in my car for opening packages or whatever.
Those Cabelas multitools are certainly not the worst Chinese garbage I've found.
Ive came a long way since I made this video lol
@@Hoardster They're definitely not the worst. I did say I have one and use one. But they are still china junk, lol.
You can buy them at the gift shop at the top
Im guessing they are not cheap lol
4:42 Victor onyx VICTOR ONYX
Victor Inox actually. Not pronounced Onyx
I went looking at the videos since I got my first pocket knife at cabellas and the orange one was the one I got in the color red so yes it is made by cabellas and cabellas was bought out by bass pro shop
coast is a really good brand
Coast is an ok brand. Spyderco, Benchmade, Chris Reeve, microtech, cold steel, grimsmo are all really good brands with lifetime warranties, good qc (Benchmade is spotty but they fix their mistakes). Good steels, are built to be extremely durable (yes even grimsmos are designed to be used there's an archeologist who has used a norsrmen in the field for a decade and it looks decent!
Victorinox
Blade with angle = tanto blade
Oh wow. Learn something every day!
My fathers sog knife got confiscated by seaworld
Lol what? They wouldn't give it back after?
@@Hoardster they wouldnt
6:23
Glass breaker and seatbelt cutter
This dude has no idea what he is talking about
I know right! I'm unsubbing. this is BS..
@@Hoardster same smh
the angled blade knife is called a chisel tip knife
Nah bud it's a tanto tip ~ chisel tips are different 🤙👍🏻
Sorry bro
For?
Hoardster that you didn’t get any decent knives
SCAM
whats a scam?
Dude you ramble too much. This should have been a 5 minute video
I ramble just enough lol hope you enjoyed!
