The Hohem mic sounds better than the shotgun mic which has more low-end and makes you sound more boomy. The Hohem sounds more natural, just like when hearing you in person in the room.

Hi, great review. I actually think the medium noise reduction was better. I could hear a very slight kind of echo on your voice with the strongest setting. I was listening through earphones like you said. I actually like these for what your getting for the price. The only downside for me is I'm colour blind so find it hard to distinguish the coloured lights,but it won't stop me buying them. I'd be using mine with my Action 4 and Pocket 3. Will I have to plug the receiver in to the camera or have they got Bluetooth?

Hi, thank you! Hope you do enjoy these! You'd have to plug the RX to your camera, I don't think you'll be able to use them through Bluetooth connection to the camera. Hope it helps!
