I dont thing that the receiver can be plug directly onto the gimbal port and be able to transmit the audio into the phone if not plugged on it, unless you are using the gimbal app on your phone, the phone's native video app won't pick up the audio if the receiver not plug on the phone.
IMO the audio was definitely better the closer it was to your mouth and best on the couple of times you spoke directly into it. Sited on your chest it was just ordinary and quite poor compared to your studio cam/mic combo.
These are really nice and priced to be affordable.
Sound was just fine in all the test as far as I can tell.
Certainly worth getting.

yeah they say it should be close. and its a hard comparison since the studio mic is way more expensive.

I bought it tried it out and returned it right away. Noise reduction sucks.
