Reclosable Hydraulic Barrier Valve (X-HBV) Animation

A Reclosable Hydraulic Barrier Valve (X-HBV) is a device which is used to protect the wellbore, creating a barrier to the formation and enabling various activities to be carried out in the course of a subsea completion.
Superior’s X-HBV provides a one-time hydraulically trigger open feature despite multiple mechanical shifts to open or close prior to hydraulic activation. Once functioned hydraulically, the valve can be cycled open or closed numerous times by mechanical means.
Some of the advanced features of this product consist of a variable indexing mechanism, independent actuation and high-power open section, in conjunction with a highly debris tolerant ball-type barrier mechanism.
