A quick look at the new Vango F10 Nexus. Could it be the 'Volkswagen Golf' of 2 person back packing and bike packing tents?
I've picked one up for just £240 and I'll be using it this summer with my wife as it has a generous 130cm wide inner , promising wind stability with its internal TXS guy system, a 'slippery' profile and semi freestanding pole set up and a hydrostatic head of 3000mm.
At under 2kg and a tiny pack size it shouldn't weigh us down either.
Looking forward to making this a regular choice for both of us or a spacious solo option. Should be ideal for UK and European conditions but the limited head height and shallow vestibules might be a hindrance...time will tell! What do you make of it? Helm 2 competitor but wider ? - Спорт
Already modded mine. Looks a decent tent for the £240 I paid for it 👍
What did you change Gaz ? I've tightened the inner and modded the corner guys for the inner so they are attached to the fly. Seems a bit slicker for pitching speed.
@@AndrewParkOutdoors added plastic hooks to the inner shock cord so it can be attached to the outer on the corners (like you said it's faster and just makes sense) added another buckle to the bottom of that TBS system so it's not constantly attached (other vangos have a stash pocket for this, not sure why this doesn't), added loops of guyline to the end guylines for a peg to go through (the knot was in the wrong place anyway) plus added a washing line inside 👍
Nice. I've pretty much done the same but like your idea for the txs lines . 👍
I own 2 vango backpacking tents the zephyr 200 and F10 helium ul1 both are fantastic in any sort of weather. 😊
Very nice! Clyde built !
👌
You tried it yet Ben, any good ?
@@AndrewParkOutdoors not yet, done a couple of mods to it though. Grizzly Gaz is out in one tonight.
I used mine last night for the first time, up the top of a hill in Derbyshire.
I thought the relatively low height was going to be an issue from when I had it up in the garden, it really wasn’t at all though - and I enjoyed my time inside of it. Spacious but cosy is how I’d describe it, almost feels like the low dens we used to make as kids…👍🏻
It’s a keeper!! 😎
Good to way to describe it, im going to try it again this weekend solo to see how I get on with it hopefully in decent winds, A
WC Helm vibes
ahh you beat me to it.. it's like the helm 2...
yes a wider lower version of it i reckon.
Ahh I knew it new tent no2 !! lol , looks good , will be interesting to see the straight bottom walls for winds , porch look a little small. look forward to the review
should get its first spin this weekend, fingers crossed its ok
1,6kg and Nylon sheets, no thanks!
I’ve noticed there is no real talk about the room for a tall person I’m 188cm and use a 100mm thick mattress so would love to know how this would suit a tall person as I looking for a tent for Iceland
Solo ? If so sleep diagonally and you should find it ideal.
I have an affinity with Vango as this was the first tent Brad I used. I used it until it fell apart.
They are a solid choice for the UK
Looks really good, Andrew. Look forward to the review... what's it's inner height?
its a low wide profile, 95cm i think but it should shed wind nicely.
"Guess what I've got..."😬😬😐😐
Down to two only !
