It’s a better performing grill than I thought it would be. Thanks for sharing your review. I’m still satisfied with my other brands (Firebox, Emberlit and 4Dog) so I try to refrain from additional stove spending.
And kudos for not being scared to post videos with matches! I own a LOT of ferro rods but in watching UA-cam you’d think matches hadn’t been invented yet.

I just got one , so glad to see the review!! I like that large or small pots or cook sets will sit on this stove easily ( Like Stanley) and it can be used as a grill. Versatile with spirit burners , charcoal , sticks & twigs!! Really digging it so far. Impressive time on your boil. Thumbs up here!!

Is it just me the only one seeing a potential forest fire danger with this video? Could you be more careful next time you start a fire and at least do it inside the stone circle you have right next to you or even make a bigger one to isolate the fire?
    You were lucky. Very lucky.

That's a really impressive stick stove for the price you paid, and it looks like it would be ideal for grilling steaks, chops, and the like. Since I already have a great little Stansport Folding Pack Grill that fits perfectly over my medium sized Lixada/Overmont stainless steel stove (or even two of them side by side), I just don't have a use for it. Had I not, that might be my choice, looks great.

I love those little wood stoves. I can use far less fuel to cook my meals. Campfires waste more fuel because so much heat hoes to waste. I have several of these stoves. So that way I can make meals for a larger group faster. One pan cooking rice and another meat and veggies. Or one making bacon and eggs snd another pancakes. Takes a Lilley more tending but I find I can control the heat more precisely. And use far less fuel. And less fire hazard as well. Fewer sparks flying around to catch the woods on fire

Is it really necessary to time the boiling of 16oz of water over a wood stove? I can see others timing alcohol stoves and canister stoves (not really though... if I can wait 4 minutes, I can probably wait 8 minutes as well). Patience is a virtue. Honestly... I still don't get the "timing thing" with stoves. I leave that up to the OCD folks for their consideration. This is a stove that I would try out... it is laid out nicely... burns wood well. The size offers a much larger fire that would be favorable when it is cold out, but a full on campfire isn't feasible or able.

    • @MegaWoodswalker

Some people want that so often add this info in stove tasting . Personally for me if the fuel is all over aka wood I kinda don’t care. Thanks for watching!

@@georgecurtis6463 Mainly to remove unnecessary weight. I usually have a couple parallel branches sticking out the front and would be resting on the door if it was there. I start a top-down fire on top of the branches and feed the branches in as they burn down.

    Hi MegaWoodsWalker,
I just ordered this stove last evening and received it today from Amazon. Super fast shipping!
This is for my emergency food. I wanted something off grid in case of an EMP, etc.
my concern is the level of smoke it creates. Is that just with the wood?
Also, is it safe to place on top of my glass patio table with pvc table cloth? I don’t want to start a fire or melt the cloth, crack the glass table, etc.
    Thanks for the great review!

Hey buddy how's it going? I've had this wood-burning stove now for about 2 years I bought it off of Amazon under a different name as that's what a lot of their products are as you probably know they just name them different same design but just a different Chinese name or something like that. I absolutely love this thing I've made coffee on it, burgers and even bacon. you can just use it as a pretty well contains source of heat and haven't even cooking if you want and I love the idea that it folds up and it's under 21 Oz. What do you think about it honestly I think it's simple basic and get the job done. Not really a gasification wood stove at all but, it works well. I'm from upstate New York so we get it right about the same weather. Like your videos buddy been watching for about a year now keep up the good work. Best regards, Jason

This is just one of many similar Chinese copycats of the Bushbox XL which is made in Germany.. The newest design from Lixada in China has fixed many of the wobbly hinge (when unpacked) issues of the original design, such as this one. However, they still annoyingly send them out wrapped up in this horrible blue shrink wrap that takes half an hour to peel off the inside and outside..
