Edward Scissorhands is one of my favorite movies of all time. I first saw it when I was a kid and it really inspired me, both as a shy introvert and an aspiring artist. I love learning about the making of the film and all of its intricacies, from the early conceptions to the production process, so I really enjoyed this video. I’m glad remnants of the movie have survived for so long. Scissorhands changed my life in a dramatic way and will always hold a very special place in my heart. ✂️❤️✂️
I was in a haunted house walk thru at the Easter Show with a group 1 year & Freddy Kruger jumped out & my mother in law said ‘oh look, it’s Edward Scissorhands’. We left her to die.
Funny story, one of my teachers at Cinema Makeup School was a good friend of Stan Winston and assembled the hands for the movie. He's had a number of people call him to authenticate the supposed "screen used" hands that they've just bought and his first question is always "Are they metal?" And when they say yes, he immediately knows they've been duped
Favorite costume design has got to be the winter solider, batman begins suit, tyler mane 's micheal myers and Jason Statham in transporter, I do love a good Armani suit.
On theme with Johnny Depp and Ve Neill… for me, it’s hard to top the aesthetic of Captain Jack in Pirates 1. None of it should have worked but everything absolutely and perfectly does. The costume and character jump the shark as it goes but that first one is perfection. And of course Raiders / Indiana Jones.
Gotta question for you: if money was not an option would you cast your own movie props in resin to preserve them for the future? Also the shirt and pants for Edward you can still find replicas on revival vintage and i believe they're having a holiday sale coming up.
