Every generation had this shit. Clout is just attention. WHen i was a kid people wore JNCO jeans. Not because they were comfortable but because of the attention or CLout. There was the little ricer japanese cars with the loud exhausts. Did the cars shave any minutes off with those loud exhausts? NOPE. They just liked having loud cars so people would give them attention or clout. Now theres just way more of a reach for attention seeking behavior and a career path unfortunately.

This sounds exactly like the sort of thing she'd regret after the initial excitement dies down, in her mind it's probably like "Hell yeah, I'm so cool.
