Hello chess lord🙇♀️🗿🍷
pin of shame
btw I liked my own comment
Hikaru: "Im too old for bullet"
Wins bullet championship
Hikaru: "I shouldn't be talking too much during the game"
Me: you shouldn't even be streaming during a tournament like this!
@@susbedo9258maybe he should start twirling his hair too
@@susbedo9258 Man has a huge ego, so streaming and knowing his fanboys are cheering him on only fuels him and helps his mentality
he is just insecure about his age that's it
And afterwards Magnus basically says Hikaru is by far the best bullet player ever lol meanwhile Hikaru says he was way better at bullet in his 20s and teens
Levy, I barely understand chess and you had my blood pressure way up.
no more chess videos for you
Levy's giving us a fraction of his coffee's extreme power
When he starts doing the Alex Jones voice you know the game heat UP!
I know! His commetary skills are through the roof
@@Shroobi lol
Only Gotham can make watching a chess match seem like you're watching a football game, or even mma.
With Pepe Cuenca in Spanish. The best.
sounds the most like Basketball commentary tbh lol. Constantly evolving quickly, tons of different plays firing off back to back.
I really like Agadmator for his strategic analysis and how he explores all the lines, but Levy has amazing commentating skills that make you feel the tension of the match. He brings that emotional connection
imagine if levy is the commentator for magnus vs hikaru match. that holy trinity would be complete
imagine Levy and Danya. that would be a blast

Hikaru’s defensive abilities are absolutely incomprehensible. He can win positions that literally every other person on earth (except Magnus) would lose.
He can also just as easily blunder positions every other person on earth wouldn't
@@penreee9711 i'm sure you wouldn't, that's probably why you're the number 3 rated blitz player in the world

20 games bruh this has gotta be a record in gothams "most games in a video"
only magnus and hikaru could play that many bullet matches in that time. just insanity.
@@fatshibaballs They didn't play 20, they played about 35
It was like watching a Bullet Train in real time. Impossible to follow unless you're a super-Blitz GM. Kudos to Gotham for showing the game in semi-slow speed, so we can appreciate the critical moves in the match.
@@fatshibaballs what the f are you talking about ?

I cannot imagine the nerves of both players at all points of the match, but especially towards the end. Also, props to Hikaru for not only winning, but also not slow-rolling Magnus after he was 5 points up.
Hikaru sacrificing the knight to create space to block the pass pawn was masterful. The game in which he went up 15/14
Every final match in every tournament is "one of the greatest matches of all time" 😂
That's the whole point of a final between the elite of chess. BTW, on Bullet, this was the absolute best tournament ever and therefore the best final ever. I dare you to name one bullet final that can compete with this beautiful set of games.
this is a standout

Arguably the most entertaining chess match I've ever watched in my life. Only other match I can think of is Nepo vs Ding WCC
8:44 - Actually, You probably know this, but for anyone who doesn't, Stockfish does not know any theory so Hikaru does know the modern defense better than Stockfish.
Not true
Stockfish plays the best move.
Theory is humans trying to find the best move.
Therefore stockfish will play human theory, until human theory won’t match with stockfish because it’s defective.
@@agarrikr2996 Yes, however, Stockfish does not 'know' theory. Knowing means to be aware of the moves being theory, which it is not.
It can play the moves according to theory, but it isn't aware of the fact that those moves are based on theory.

Absolutely the best chess UA-camr in the world. What a recap I literally didn't want the video to end just to engage with your commentating
Hikaru's New Mindset is really a blessing. Goes to show you how much of chess is actually Psychological.
He went to kick, Hikaru just doesn't care
Naka wouldve won bullet against Magnus before. He proved that in "bullet"? I think hes always been the same, mental is the same, hes just better thanks to all this last years playing speed chess. He got better, hes faster

Levy! Fun stuff. I am reminded now and then, by your patter, of old-time radio commentators on boxing matches and horse races. :)
I am not sure Levy knows, but in a pinch he is the best Howard Cosell imitator ever
Funny thing: In the beginning, Hikaru was listening to Indian (Bollywood) music, which he loved, causing him to win many games.
The song's name is "Chaiyya Chaiyya"

I'm thoroughly enjoying this recap. This is one of your best works.
This chess match was truly one of the ones that happened
And the commentary, I mean this was by far one of the videos Levy has ever recorded.
Imagine Magnus watches this and hears levy say “Hikaru said GET OUT OF HERE BOZO!” and Magnus is like “I didn’t hear him say it but I guess this means war!”😂
levy's commentary is insane, had me on the edge of my seat the whole time
This guy is so good at taking you through a match
The evolution of Hikaru is almost complete, he will become the chess god emperor.
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

20 games in a row and Levy still has that excitement and hype going. It continues on game after game until the end of the vid 😢

Regardless of Fide ratings, Hikaru has always been the true #2 to Magnus. He's the only person who has shown the consistent ability to challenge Magnus throughout their careers, and do so in all time formats.
And he’s the unquestioned #1 ever in bullet. Hearing the praise Magnus gave him yesterday and then hearing Hikaru talking about how much better he was at bullet in his 20s and teens compared to now is crazy
@@wesleyb1458 hikaru is talking nonsense when he says he has been better. Because statistically he has definetly not. He wants to make it seam as if he has been EVEN better than now. Idk where he got this from but its bullshit.

HIKARUUUUUUU! 🎉
First two games were a draw then Hikaru won the third game
This is so good it's so good to watch and im hyped up to see hikaru and magnus palying bullet chess it's nerve racking for me every move it's so good
this was an excellent tournament, the players in the late rounds were playing out of this world, Magnus and Hikaru did Magnus and Hikaru things, and the final somehow topped everything
"The players play as many games as they can over the course of 45 minutes, and there's just one rule: it's win by two." What if after the forty-five minutes the match is drawn or one of the players leads by one? Is there some kind of bullet Armageddon? Winner take all sudden death? 13:52 Well that answers that question.
i need some drammatic music for this one, it's way too insane
The precision of the decision making under this kind of time restraint is mind blowing.
Thanks Levy- illuminating and insightful commentary. I didn't think anything outside of years of hard work would make sense of the game at this level, but you made it engaging and educational. For chess it is like the golden age of American Football, say 1983-1993 when you had these world-class commentators, these rivalries. Hikaru/Magnus is kind of like Washington/Dallas, Theissman vs. Staubach. But this is way better I don't even watch football now.
