    I believe this is an epic turning/beginning point in future live concerts.
    Going forward I see AI making immense changes, including creating 3D holographic images and performances for those no longer with us who were a major impact on the group.
    Think of any concert, from any group/performer you would like to see again but know it's impossible because they are not here anymore and, well, the past is the past and cannot be relived again.
    Think again because AI will be able to recreate those images in not just 3D but immersive 4D on stage.
    Think about that and that it is all beginning with Carl Palmer and this tour. This is an epic choice in his career to perform this way. He will go down in history and be forever remembered for this choice of his to perform this way.

    I can't explain myself why Tarkus and Take a Pebble didn't use footage of the 1992 or 1997 performances. I get that Hoedown is part of the 1993 leg of the tour and there's no video footage of it or an audio with enough quality for get the montage set up or the instruments isolated.

    What on earth is the use of this????

    • @Seekmage
      @Seekmage  8 місяців тому

      This literally is going “Back To The Future”. IMO this represents the infancy of the future of concert performances bringing back to 'life' the greatest musicians who are no longer with us. For example, in the past we could look at one dimensional pictures and maybe even say “What on earth is the use of this????” We can’t hear them, we can’t see them moving on stage, so what’s the use? Now if pictures were left as is and nothing else was ventured, nothing else would have happened and all we would have are, well, pictures. Or, someone could try to come up with the idea of putting a bunch of pictures, one picture after another next to the other and suddenly we have ‘moving pictures’! Now we have movies and would one still say “What on earth is the use of this?????” However we know the importance of movies, videos etc. to record and look back and enjoy history etc. just like most people do on UA-cam etc. Now there is someone, Palmer as well as ABBA, Ringo & Paul and others, who are thinking that we could figuratively bring, the dead back to life, the past to the present, in a concert or song and one might say “What on earth is the use of this????”. Fast forward and in the not so distant future of AI, we will see three dimensional holographic restorations of those past performers performing on stage next to the live performers for a more immersive band’s performance never before deemed possible. And yet, at that point, someone might say “What on earth is the use of this????”. And that will alway be the case with innovation. The next query down this road might be beyond the 3-D performers on stage where they then interact with the audience. Can you imagine a 3-D Emerson, in between songs, stops for a moment, looks out into the audience AT YOU, and asks you personally which song you would like for them to play next? That is where this can lead to, the “What on earth is the use of this????” answer: Innovation and Progress. It has to be tried before it progresses. Trial and error, then fix it even more.
