Similar to how we make it on the island, im from tonga we don't use a blender we use a scraper which is a long plank with a spoon at the end of it with a jagged sharp edge on it we scrape all the meat and then we put water in it and use the coconut husk as a strainer to squeeze all the milk out of the meat

Put the grated coconut milk into a bowl and put warm water then strain it with clean cloth. After straining the coconut milk, put back the grated coconut meat from the cloth to the strained coconut milk then press hard to strain again do it 4 more times to get pure coconut milk.
