My first exposure to Heroes of the Grid was at a convention where, I believe it was actually someone from Renegade, was showing off the Psycho Ranger expansion. I ended up winning the Shattered Grid expansion in a raffle at that con. Since then I tried playing it but couldn't really follow the rules. However I'm also crazy so I ended up getting pretty much every set that is available, including the extra card packs. I think the only sets I'm currently missing are the ones that just came out this year. Maybe one day I'll actually be able to play a full game😂.
I remember the VERY first time I ever played the game was at New York Comic Con at the renegade booth. I had already backed the kickstarter, but that game sealed the deal for me. Fast forward to today, and I’ve committed to EVERYTHING new that’s released 😅 Hope you do get in that game! Besides a fun series to collect, the game is quite a lot of fun! Especially with a bunch of fellow Ranger fans.
I’ve got two Dreadnaught Army Carry cases from Tabletop Tyrant. Did a custom load out of fomenting, which I hollowed out and lined with magnetic sheets. The minis have magnets on the bottom to hold them in place. I magnetise them when I unbox, to help with priming and painting
Recently, just bought the game, have played x2 two player games, and x1 6-player game. Really fun with 6 players! We lost but used house rules that panic zone check is at the end of rounds. Not immediately. So far I own the deluxe kickstarter set, plus some expansions such as, Tommy Oliver, shattered grid, allies pack #1, villain pack 1, foot soldier pack 1, and bought and waiting for it in the mail, the light and darkness expansions and allies pack #2! Really happy with having more rangers to use! Trying to get the ultrazord and Titanus cards. Not exactly sure how Titanus works. Does it just get added as a zord card? Which means I’m a 6 player game we can’t use it? And how does the alpha 5 deck work.
Funny you mention Titanus as I use him in my Christmas Chaos scenario. He counts as a Zord card, so he would be one of the 5 Zords you unlock as you level up. And he does 2 straight damage to ANY card (bypassing GUARD), which is an awesome ability. Alpha is a little more complicated, he actually had his rules changed when the Legendary Ranger pack featuring the thunder Zords came out. Basically he stays int when command center, and 3 of his cards are placed face up. On a Ranger’s turn, instead of playing a card from their hand, they may play one of the Alpha cards. I believe those cards don’t reset until the next battle, but I’d need to double check. I hope to cover Alpha one day for a Team Breakdown!
DUDE, that would be insane! Lol here I'm thinking Power Rangers can go on forever, but adding Marvel to the mix... WOW! Sadly, you are correct, unless Renegade gets a contract with Marvel. Until then, I'm very happy with Hasbro, and curious how the G.I.Joe Mission Critical game is going to do.
