I never stopped using Asian sunscreens but I love that you make these informative videos for people who are maybe still worried about giving new Korean sunscreens a chance❤️
Can I say, i just want to thank you for putting these videos out on the occasion. You technically didnt have to but it is always appreciated. Im sick of ppl demonizing K beauty sunscreens when Western brands get away with it and then theres ppl who are overtly demanding for every k beauty or j beauty to release a test result. Which i do get but I dont like ppl attitudes towards it. I keep tabs of all your videos plus StyleKorean s, and Insuk Ahn for a list of K beauty sunscreens that list their spf lab results. I count over 50+ sunscreens with lab results release. Thanks again 🙂
I really appreciate these videos! I love the innovative filters that most Asian sunscreens have but I’m super sensitive to fragrance and will develop a terrible migraine, so it’s always nice to know when a sunscreen product has a fragrance (whether added or bc of ingredients). I also have brown skin. It’s lighter than yours but depending on time of year I have a very strong yellow or olive undertone so a white cast still can be hard to hide and makes me ghoulish. Your videos have helped me find the best products for my needs without having to spend a lot of money. 💛
I’ve tried the Dr. Ceuracle cica sun and I absolutely loved the texture but the fragrance burned my eyes so bad lol. While the scent fades fast it was just sooo much my eyes were red for hours. I liked the actual smell but I just wish it wasn’t so strong. Also if you haven’t tried the Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Essence I highly recommend it. It’s a product I can’t live without. I’d love to see what you think of the Abib heartleaf sunscreen. I’m super interested in that one but I have to get through the last sunscreen haul I did lol.
I just have total and complete trust in Ramon. His recommendations have never failed me so far and I love him, and his super high quality and credible videos.
I love how you have me so much information about Korean sunscreens, the numbers and how it feels on the skin and whether it is matte, semi-matte or shiny vs greasy. I have finally found a couple of Korean sunscreens I can wear every day without hating how they feels on my skin. I have mature skin and rosacea, so protecting my skin from the sun is something I wish I had done sooner.
Thank you for this series, Ramón. I have been looking for brown skin friendly sunscreens prior and after the Purito incident. Your videos has given me a lot of help with those decisions. Especially since I have sensitive skin.
Thank you so much for these videos! When the sunscreen Armageddon happened and I ran out of all my backups I went bananas and bought mineral baby sunscreen from a laboratory brand (think avene, but from my country) thinking it’d be great for my very sensitive dermatitis-prone skin. It is, and I’m also Casper the ghost currently. I didn’t know a white cast so intense I turned lilac could happen on a fair-to-light skin tone, and yet here I am, thankfully I haven’t been out of my house since Christmas because I had to study. I have my eyes on the Suntique I’m Medi sunscreen (white cast permitting of course) and the fact that so far I’ve seen you review three of their sunscreens as verified is giving me hope.
Korean sunscreen will always be my favorites, Korean sunscreen was the first sunscreen I tried when I start delving into skincare and the rest is history. 😊😊😊 Korean sunscreen for life ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Are Hyggee and Dr. Ceuracle owned by L’Oreal?! Because of the Mexoryl… or has L’Oreal’s patent on Mexoryl run out? I could also not know what the f I’m talking about. Just though that all the Mexoryl filters were exclusive to L’Oreal
I still bought and will continue to buy Korean sunscreens!! They really just knock everything else out of the park in terms of formulation and my preferences for texture. Currently I'm using Kinship cuz I've been wanting to try since it launched, but I'm finding it a bit too greasy for my taste, even in the colder weather. I can't wait to finish ot so I can get back to my K screens!!
Yeeeey love these products and the video! Often when I have doubts about SPFs you review them and I can decide if I want to purchase. Thank you for being so on top of it!
Hi Ramon, thank you for your thorough videos. I bought the Hygee sunscreen last year and loved it, but was devastated when I heard it was one of the sunscreens that had the 50 spf claim, but when it was tested it was below that . Is this a new formulation?
I bought the Some By Mi mineral sunscreen on your recommendation and LOVE IT. Usually mineral sunscreen makes me dry or itchy (I have sensitive dry-normal skin). I love it. I trust your opinions and love your sass. Let’s be BFFs pls and thx
Love your videos please keep making them 👍 Is there any way (website)where we can find the lists of certified sunscreen and the spf value? That would be a great help
To be honest I really hated the Suntique Aqua SPF50 sunscreen. It made my skin break out because of the essential oils and it have certain herbal fragance. I dont mind being a bit fraganced but this was just too much.
I would love a video ranking your top fav minerals sunscreens of all time just before summer begins and/or #1 recommendations mineral sunscreens for dry, oily, etc (no white cast in facial hair pleeaasseee)
Hi! Was wondering if the B-Lab Matcha Hydrating Real Sunscreen is verified? Would love to know your opinion on the feel of the product as well. Also, how do I as a consumer look for these studies and verification (internal/external)? In any case, thank you❤️✨Appreciate the video 😊
Every time I see a new verified + certified video, I hope I will see my favorite sunscreen which is Holika Holika Aloe Soothing Essence Waterproof Sun Cream SPF50+. But unfortunately, it's still not there. This sunscreen looks and feels so perfect on the skin. At the same time, the new version of the product contains only new generation safer uv filters and good ingredients. All this somehow seems to me too good to be true for a sunscreen that is actually SPF 50 PA++++ as it claims.
Hola Ramon, I know you love Korean beauty but could you do a review of Sephora skincare brand? I was.im MX and very few brands were fragrance free and affordable and I was very impressed of their offerings.
Hey Ramon, I really trust ur videos and i have used some of ur sunscreen recommendations. Can I ask which mineral sunscreen is better for mac nc 45 skintone for oily skin. Based on ur videos, I tried Rovectin which i liked. I am yet to try Roundlab and also isntree - the chemical sunscreen but it's not readily available in India . I'm afraid it might look too oily on my skin and give a sweaty vibe. Plz suggest Ramon.
Good video! I’m interested in trying the Cica one! Unrelated to sunscreen but have you or anyone you know tried the Dezi Skin Masque On Sleeping Mask. It’s pretty much like an emulsion in my opinion as opposed to a mask but I actually have noticed a huge difference on the days I use it. Interested in your opinion of the product.
Thank you for the useful information. I have a question. I've seen some mineral sunscreens with only titanium dioxide as filter. I like using the Mineral One by La Roche Posay (I believe it's available in Latin America and some European countries). It is tinted (almost full coverage) but it just has titanium dioxide. I've heard that with an special process this filter can be effective for both UVB and UVA. I was wondering if this is really true 🤔

Michelle (LabMuffin) has spoken of this! There is specific processing that can be done to titanium dioxide to allow it have broad spectrum absorption. While the extent of what broad spectrum is can vary, there is a metric for testing that a product has to meet to even get that designation. So if it says ‘broad spectrum’ on it, or has the UVA symbol circled on it, it has adequate daily UVA protection
WHITE COLLARS!... please Ramon.. Sunscreens have screwed ALL my white/light colored shirts now have yellow discoloration due to sunscreen.. Please do a video on a solution for that
What I do is just apply sunscreen to the top half of my neck. I dont even bother with the bottom half. For me its not worth dealing with the sunscreen ruining collars. I also find that my neck gets super sensitive when it gets in contact with any clothing that has absorbed some sunscreen.
I have been looking for water resistant Korean sunscreens. Any suggestions? Maybe a video idea… 😄

Missha! Japan has more waterproof options. I did a video featuring high strength/waterproof sunscreens, although most are western. Korean sunscreens are geared towards more daily wear, but Missha has a handful worth checking out. They are alcohol-heavy though
Which would you prefer more for oily skin Benton air fit UV defense sun cream, Goodal Houttuynia Cordata Calming Sun Cream or Suntique I'm aqua sun essence ? Please recommend. How you compare?

The Scinic Super Mild Essence have the highest UVA rating I know in Korean sunscreens at 24 PPD with low price and beautiful texture.
I love how you have me so much information about Korean sunscreens, the numbers and how it feels on the skin and whether it is matte, semi-matte or shiny vs greasy. I have finally found a couple of Korean sunscreens I can wear every day without hating how they feels on my skin. Thank you for reviewing more sunscreens from Korea. I would love a review of Scinic-Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence. I don’t see anyone talk about it.

Ramón! Can you talk about the new UVmune LRP sunscreens with the new filter?
I’ll look into it! I haven’t even heard of it yet. That’s exciting. Thank you for the rec!
Been loving the anua 5-zero mild sun cream. So far, it's the only one that works for me. It's just sad that there's not much review about it
Will be trying these thank you!
