Hola hola everyone! Hope you're as excited for this video as I was making it! I want to point out that SPF testing, as I've mentioned MANY times before, is still a very complicated, heuristic science, so do note that. Having these results is helpful and will hopefully ease some worry around sunscreen use. The key is to always wear ENOUGH, and understand that sunscreen is only a small portion of an overall sun protection wardrobe! Are any of these your favs? Anything you're shocked to see on the list? Let me know! xoxo, Ramon

The old version was discontinued and pulled from shelves!
So happy to see the COSRX and Isntree sunscreens on here, definitely my favourites! Especially Isntree due to Reddit speculating it was a lower spf thinking it was too good to be true which made me nervous. Glad I don’t have to switch sunscreen, wouldn’t wanna miss out on that glow.
Im so glad the cosrx one passed ive been using it for years in a region where the uv index is super high, i even started using other sunscreens but im glad i went back to it!!! I missed it ahaha the only one that doesnt mess up my combo skin!
Honestly, I get more excited about good moisturizers and good sunscreens than actives. I have no idea why but I love this! So glad people are talking about the verified sunscreens as well because korean sunscreens got a bad rep for no reason after all the "exposes" at the start of the year.
That’s because a good moisturizer and good sun protection are the foundation of skin health in order to allow actives to be as beneficial as possible. If your skin is dry and burnt, an acid or retinol or vitamin serum will not help you.
The “why” is because sunscreen is the most important step in your skincare routine. It’s doing the heavy lifting and making the most difference in your skin.
They’re double cancelled if they mess up the reformulation. 😬 Tbh it’s not entirely fair that this one brand in particular took so much heat when a lot of various sunscreens have been proven to not be as effective as stated in the past, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
When I first used cosrx sunscreen I was so disappointed with how strong the fragrance was but like you said it completely dissipates and now I love it I'm so glad I didnt just throw it out at the first try 🤭
Cosrx aloe soothing spf is my HOLY GRAIL. It makes no sense because I have really sensitive skin but this is the only sunscreen that doesn’t irritate my skin, even when my moisture barrier was damaged this was the only spf that didn’t dry me out and flair up my rosacea. Also would love to see a review of more of the Suntique sunscreens!
are you usually sensitive to fragrance and essential oils? Just wondering because I want to try the sunscreen but I usually dont use any fragrance or essential oils on my face since my skin is very sensitive too
@@KiraUtley Ya hard to say because my skin is really weird and I generally try to also stay away from fragrance and essential oils because some of it definitely causes my redness and rosacea to flair up. My biggest issue tho with SPF is that usually it dehydrates and dries out my skin so that is really what increases my senstivity and in turn irritation, but the Cosrx does not do that unless I've applied it like a 4th time that day. It generally is on sale quite often so I would definitely try it out/recommend it and worst case scenario use it on your body.
I will be repurchasing the Cosrx and Isntree sunscreens for as long as I live. Loved the Isntree one for about a year now, and I just started using the Cosrx one and love it! Glad to see so many others certified, I'll need to look into them. Thank you for making this video!
I tried TIAMs B5 toner off Kelly Driscols recommendation and fell in love with the brand. Def going to pick up the SPF now. I love the insntree one but towards the afternoon it makes my eyes start to water a lot.
Same here with the Isntree! My skin usually agrees a lot with their products, but I can't stand how my eyes start to cry every now and then through the day with that sunscreen haha A shame since I think it looks good on my oily skin: not heavy, the finish is glowy without looking greasy, spreads so easily... :(
I just want to say how AMAZING and committed you are to providing accurate and informed content. The amount of information and work that went into this video demonstrates what kind of ethical content creator you are. You're amazing!!
I tried the Cosrx one. But it makes my eyes watery like crazy 😭😭. I like that you included the information of the spf test for each sunscreen. Thumbs-up 👍👍👍👍!
I always use mineral sunscreens because I am allergic to something in chemical sunscreens. But mineral sunscreens dry my skin out, and I’m getting desperate and I’ve tried so many chemical sunscreens and I always get a bad reaction. But for the first time ever, the isntree sunscreen did not give me a reaction! And the best thing is it doesn’t have a white cast unlike most mineral sunscreens
Hyggee also had some sunscreens recalled as they used one the manufacturers under hot water for low spf value. They released 2 news one with their test results listed on yesstyle. The Vegan Sun Cream uses the same filters and the beet root extract found in Kraves Beet Shield/Beet the Sun.
I recently discovered how important sunscreen is I KNOW I just hated the white cast and smell Tbh I prefer a clear formula as I am a LATINA. I am also obsessed with Korean skincare I’m excited to try some of these out. Thank you 💕

Yes have so much fun! Most of these are a great place to start. Some great, elegant, lightweight formulas and textures
@@nancykerrigan They most likely mean that when it accidentally gets into their eyes on application or sweating; it burns like having shampoo in your eyes.
@@nancykerrigan I think he means that, I also like it a lot but it definitively makes my eyes cry, so I don't use it as often as I would... It's kinda sad since that sunscreen is not heavy, the finish is glowy without looking greasy, spreads so easily... :(
I fell in love with the A'pieu daily sunscreen because it feels so amazing, but I wish I knew for certain that I am protected! I have my daughter using it as well.
Super great video! Love seeing all of this information compiled into one place. One thing I’m confused about regarding sunscreens is the PA rating. Can you do a video on that? Like is a PA rating of 20 that much better than 40 in regards to anti-aging and hyperpigmentation? Thank you! ❤️
I found the Round Lab sunscreen too heavy on my oily skin, in humid weather, even with nothing underneath. Almost as heavy as the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Spf 45. Its a beautiful sunscreen otherwise, but is too heavy for oily skin, and caused some congestion for me because of that. How is the weather where you live? Im surprised you didnt find it slightly too heavy, since I think you have an oily skin type?
Ramón! Can u plz do this video concept but for Japanese sunscreens? I’ve been checking them out on yesstyle for so long, there’s so many choices but I’m hooked after getting the mermaid UV gel and UV essence biore
You're a saviour Ramon! Came across your channel looking for some sunscreen recommendations to try this summer and I'm so glad I did. Excited to get my hands on the Isntree and Neogen ones. Thanks heaps!!!
Great video. Have you heard of the Skin Aqua milk small blue bottle 40 ml, and the Canmake clear 01 small bottle 40g, tested as well? Both of them are Japanese sunscreens though. Thx.
I'm not interested to buy mineral sunscreens anymore. It's a waste of money. But that Round Lab mineral sunscreen looks really promising. This makes me want to try the CosRX sunscreen, though. I'm super happy because my skin is no longer sensitive to alcohol and fragrance - thanks to Bioré Watery Essence that i bought 2 months ago and repurchased 4 times since then. And i want to give this CosRX sunscreen a try. This sunscreen is super accessible. It's one of the cheapest Korean sunscreens at the drugstore. It's only around $6-$7 here. Hopefully it doesn't irritate my skin. I read a lot of positive reviews about this sunscreen, hopefully it is less dewy than Bioré.
Can you do a video applying makeup over mineral sunscreen using different formulas - liquid, powder, cream, stick? I always wonder about how it affects the color and if the application removes any of it.
The COSRX sunscreen is nice, but god does it peel. The texture is very nice, and I love the formula but I find it difficult to reapply as it peels so much.

Hey Ramón. Great video!! Can’t wait to try some of these, thanks for the recs. Question…..what are your feelings about spray sunscreen (for the body)? I spend so much time thinking about the sunscreen I use on my face but get lazy about my body and prefer just spraying it on. Thoughts….?🤔💭
AHHH muchisimas gracias!! CosRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream es mi favorita crema del sol, especialmente cuando mi piel esta muy deshidratada. Y me encantan las cremas del sol de Korea, son mis favoritas. WOOOO!!
I wanted to love the Cosrx but it pills on my skin and the scent was a bit too strong for my liking. I was hoping it would dissipate but I kept smelling it. Eventually had to wash my face and start fresh. Luckily I have the beauty of joseon as my main spf. I just like knowing I have a backup in case my first choice is out of stock haha.
Great content Ramon! So precise and educational! Will you or do you have a video on the ++ and PA pluses system? Like with Japanese sunscreen and I believe others, since it isn't a system that is used in the US I think a lot of people are confused about it. Thanks for all you do!
The round lab didn’t work for me unfortunately, the essential oil irritated my skin and the formula was just too heavy especially with reapplication. It made me look blue/grey and creased blue on my eye lids 😭. The be plain clean ocean moisture is what the round lab should have been but the round lab birch juice moisturizer from the same line is 🙌🏾 def. My favs are the La Roche Posay Anthelios and the Garnier anti dark spot. I can’t wait to try the Eucerin oil control gel cream next. Thank God for your European sunscreen vids💕
The newer version has almost no essential oil. I ordered some directly from Korea and it has no fragrance anymore, unlike the ones I’ve gotten from Amazon. And the Inci list site lists just one oil in the ingredients.
@@puffsplus72 the newer version has 1 essential oil (chamomile I think) but it still irritates my skin. Got it from jolse but I just use it in my hands now.
I imagine the Benton Mineral Sun Stick must be using some kind of composite material to improve the performance of the titanium dioxide. I would love to see the data on some of these materials like PARSOL® TX, Creasperse® UVA, AXIOM FIT-P, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have a business name to request access under 😭.
I wonder if the ingredients in the stick Benton spf that keep it solid, could potentially cause acne prone skin to break out? Thanks for this video, incredibly insightful!
Thank you, Ramon! How was the finish of the Round Lab 365? Is it matte or dewy, and does it control your oil throughout the day (like some other mineral sunscreens do)? I'm very interested and have super oily skin so I don't like anything with a wet, dewy, or greasy finish that will make me feel even oilier.
P.S. I'm glad to see that they took out the Bergamot Oil from the ingredients! (Stylevana's listing shows Bergamot, while the Stylekorean link you provided does not.)
I like the Benton sun stick and I think the cream version of this is fantastic but there’s a scent to it that I don’t love. It’s still very cosmetically elegant!
Thank 👏🏼you👏🏼 for finally doing this - been waiting! I keep trying to figure out if my all time favorite is legit - Thank You Farmer essence - and have asked the company and Charlotte cho. I’m assuming it is since still available for sale on Soko glam but just in case I have been doubling the amount and reapplying more often 🤷🏻♀️ I can’t eff around with ☀️ because it literally makes me sick (lupus sucks)
This is great! The Tiam has too much fragrance otherwise I would wear it all the time. Style Korean is low key my favorite retailer as it’s where I go for repurchases and HG faves as their prices are the lowest.
Amazing! I was just wondering the same thing. Thank you for verifying and sharing that these sunscreens are legit, it's hard to find validated sources but you made it easy for us! That Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream was my first ever K-Beauty sunscreen, and it was a revelation back then. I still remember that scent, it smelled so good! It pilled on my skin unfortunately but I'm grateful that it kicked off my sunscreen journey. This video inspired me to give TIAM a try, and.... *wow*. Yes, it's similar to the Cosrx but it doesn't pill on me and I feel it's less shiny. Already putting it on my wishlist for a backup! Thank you Ramón. 🌺
I love seeing a Latino man interested in skincare, YASSS! I personally use Round Lab sunscreen every single day. Love love love Korean skincare products
Does the HEV lights is exaggerated problem? Does the CosRX gonna be enough to protect the skin from the harmful lights? I just spend like around 10 hours daily near laptop screen, so should I pay more for this HEV protection or nope?
First of all, love this video and the effort you put into it and how you showed the application of them. I have the tiam one, the round lab birch sap one, and the benton sun stick. I also really want to asked if you know why the Benton sun cream is discontinued I have really wanted to repurchase it and it absolutely my favorite!

I would love to see the data on some of these materials like PARSOL® TX, Creasperse® UVA, AXIOM FIT-P, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have a business name to request access under 😭.
Love the instree one! Works well with my super dry skin
So glad to come across your channel ❤❤
I wonder if the ingredients in the stick Benton spf that keep it solid, could potentially cause acne prone skin to break out? Thanks for this video, incredibly insightful!
The round lab 🤩 have you tried the etude house surprise airy finish? Their mineral version. I found that to be the best for my skin type
I am also interested in knowing how dewy it is….
Thank you for your information. It help us who love Korean skincare.
I needed this video! I hope you'll also review hero cosmetics new mineral sunscreen
Hooray! The Isntree is my favorite ❤️
Love Bellflower Watermelon Fresh Sunscreen 🥰
This is great! The Tiam has too much fragrance otherwise I would wear it all the time. Style Korean is low key my favorite retailer as it’s where I go for repurchases and HG faves as their prices are the lowest.
Wish I could give extra thumbs up for your hard work!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
How are the sunscreens that you have tried?
I love seeing a Latino man interested in skincare, YASSS! I personally use Round Lab sunscreen every single day. Love love love Korean skincare products
do you know what the pa rating is for the cosrx sunscreen? it's labelled as pa+++, but i wonder if it actually has a higher pa
Came here through James Welsh recommending the channel and now I ain’t leaving 🤣🥰
About to watch. Have you tried Frudia's?
Does the HEV lights is exaggerated problem? Does the CosRX gonna be enough to protect the skin from the harmful lights? I just spend like around 10 hours daily near laptop screen, so should I pay more for this HEV protection or nope?
Great video, gracias Ramon 😊
Thank you very much for the overview.
First of all, love this video and the effort you put into it and how you showed the application of them. I have the tiam one, the round lab birch sap one, and the benton sun stick. I also really want to asked if you know why the Benton sun cream is discontinued I have really wanted to repurchase it and it absolutely my favorite!
I can’t use sunscreens with fragrance or essential oils.
Iscotrizinol is the same thing as Uvasorb HEB. It shows up in quite a few Central European Sunscreens
I know they’re the same, I just have yet to have personally used it in a sunscreen! So exciting
I need a sunscreen ASAP o want to try the corsx aloe but it contains alcohol.. which is irritating for sensitive/rosacea skin…
THE VIDEO I NEEDED!!! Also, thank you Ramon for all your sunscreen videos! I FINALLY FOUND A MORE ACCESSIBLE SUNSCREEN THAT IS A GREAT ALL ROUNDER (Eucerin oil control sun gel cream) The best part??? THEY BOYFRIEND LOVES IT TOO!
