I made this the other night. As my husband finished his 2nd huge plate of it he told me he's so in love with me. Meanwhile my 3 year old son kept asking for more rice. I guess the way to a man's heart really is through his stomach lol. Thankfully they left some food for me to enjoy too! Thank you for this delicious recipe.

Camirra, thank you SO MUCH! This is my wife's favorite meal, but at $60+ for two of us, our local Japanese hibachi-style restaurant doesn't fit our budget as frequently as we'd like to enjoy it. But she bought me a nice wok for Christmas, and this Valentine's Day she'll get to watch me make this for her. Your video contains full instructions and ingredient lists for the rice, the veggies, and of course the steak and shrimp all in one quick, easy-to-follow crash course. I gave it a trial run last week and shared it with the neighbors (since I have to keep it a surprise for Valentine's Day inside my own house). Rave reviews! And it tastes as good as - if not even better than - what we get at the Japanese steakhouse. I know you posted this a year and a half ago, so I'm late to the dance in posting this comment; but I've bookmarked this video to the top of my cooking references because I know my wife ever won't get tired of it. How did I not find your channel before 2022?

Best hibachi I've ever made. Even with the 3 mistakes I made: overcooking the rice, overcooking the veggies, and not enough soy sauce in the rice...it's STILL up there with the best hibachi I've ever eaten.
For anyone who cares to read this, for the yum yum sauce, I would suggest adding 1/4 - 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar. The sauce recipes I've found have never been quite right until I added that to this sauce recipe. That alone with bring everything together perfectly in my own opinion.
Other than that, this recipe is about perfect, and that's even with me leaving out some key things like garlic butter and teriyaki sauce

Thanks so much for trying this recipe and leaving your feedback 💜 I'll try adding a little apple cider vinegar to mine too and see how I like it. I can imagine a little acidity can balance out the sweetness and the fat in the mayo. Please try more recipes on this channel. What other recipes would you like to see me make?

Looks great. I was looking/ learning about "hibachi "this evening, clicked on videos tab and saw that most all vids are 4.5 to 16 minutes in length. This vid of yours at 4m is the first one i played. Question, what cooking pan are you using? It's that a "wok"on top of electric stove top? Just curious...
I've cooked many "Asian" dishes using a cast iron skillet..
That "butter" of yours, lol, i could smell and taste it through this device!! Lol👍🏼👍🏼❤️❤️❤️

This was interesting. This video made me look down the rabbit hole a ways. What I mean by this is I always thought of this as a stir fry. Hibachi as a type of grilling on small open grills called, wait for it, Hibachi's. But a little quick research shows they are essentially the same. Stir fry and Hibachi. You did a great job running that wok type skillet. Food looked great.😋👍🔥🥘

Y'all be careful with that sesame oil. I've purchased two bottles of the stuff trying to get that hibachi grill taste at the resturants and because you tube told me to use it.....I've thrown away both bottles after one use. Nasty, burnt tasting oil even when it's not burnt. Safflour Oil for grill taste is the new and proven way to go. Not hard to find. I found some made by Louana.

interesting! i have never gotten a bad flavor from sesame oil. it does have a roasted flavor though. but i have never used sesame oil to get the grill taste, i use it just for enhanced flavor. but maybe it doesnt suit your taste. its interesting to me you mention safflour oil, b/c i have found that oil to have no taste at all 🤔

@@CamirrasKitchen safflour oil no taste....exactly!! Lets the food give natural taste. Where you cookin Camirra? I'm in south Louisiana. Cajuns love oriental or asian food and are very sensitive to burnt tasting or smoked flavors. Don't like it. It is considered a failure on the cooks part to have a burnt tasting gravy or a smokey tasting gumbo.

Ok I get you! I’m in NC, but have been to LA. So I’m wondering if it’s the brand of sesame oil you got. Or also if you added it too soon. Sesame oil is best added near the end of cooking just for flavor and aroma. But safflower oil is great for cooking when a neutral taste is desired.

@@CamirrasKitchen well, I certainly didn't add the sesame oil for flavor. Lol, I let it get hot in a pot and threw some vegetables on top of it to saute'. Yeah, I might have overheated it a bit. But still, it tastes burnt fresh out the bottle. Heating it up to almost smoking probably did not help it any. Ps, I lived in North Carolina for 5 years at a god forsaken place known as camp lejeune. But I did travel that State fairly often.
