Mission Description:
Geryon Depths is a tactical shooting mission for Descent 2 and its mods.
Each level represents a specific functional part of a single huge underground facility built for iron mining and steel production.
Level tactical setup:
There are no keys in the level, only a locking device that locks the exit at the middle chamber of the upper level. The locking device is down at a pithole that can be accessed only via the level's charging station. There are two accesses to the charging station, that are cross-locked, and the player needs to fight a way to both doors of the charging station before accessing it. Safest way to do this is to clear the two-storey slab container handling lines from the bots. This will take quite an amount of energy, so powerups are vital. Level structure description:
The level is a two storey container handling line that brings the empty containers from the downstairs to get filled with the steel slabs. The full containers are taken through the upstairs by the conveyor line all the way down to production terminal to be loaded into the production lift. The service tunnels will lead to the charging station and finally down to the heavily guarded pithole that is for scrapping/melting the surplus materials.
