Just thought I'd let you know that you already unlocked the floaters, they are called the floater sails :) You have everything you need to go out exploring the world! The demo isn't very limited, there are 500 explorable islands on the map, and you're not even a third into the content there is to find! Can't wait to see episode 2 :D

Reminds me of Worlds Adrift, will be keeping my eye on this one.
it was definitely partially inspired by it, because the islands are all hand crafted, and you can make your own islands/import other peoples islands to be a randomly spawned island in your world.
I really hope this comes to consoles. The game seems to have so much freedom.
You already have the floater sails, its the first ones you placed, they need to hang over the edge of the island, then square sails to give you speed, so you have enough to get your island moving :)
- you can remove anything you built (or structures found on islands), go to the build menu and select an item to build but instead of placing the item hold the right mouse button, point at items (will be marked red) and left click to destroy them (you get all materials back), these instructions are also on the bottom right of the screen
- you can move animal from one island to another easily, first get your island moving then park it next to island with animals, build some foundations to make a path to the island and just pick and carry the animals over (then destroy the foundations if you want)
- I prefer finding a small island with a water source and then expanding it with foundations since only the island size and weight affects the number of sails you need (or the buildings don't affect it much) and you will need water
- once you place a structure, like a foundation, you need to use your hammer on it to finish building it otherwise you will only have the skeleton
- floors, walls and other objects often have several choices that you can select using numbers 1 and 3 (usually determine the object's size or shape)
- the blinking lights in the distance are islands, once you leave your area the islands in it will become blinking lights too once they get far enough

This game sort of reminds me of "Zelda The Windwaker" such a good game.
This game looks like stranded deep, sunkenland, or salt 2, but with floating islands instead of just islands and the vast open sky instead of the vast open ocean. On top of that, the game is just relaxing and beautiful with a vibe that reminds me of Shangri-La in far cry 4. I love the concept so much that I really hope you do a series on this game. GG and great video.

I've played every demo they've put out for aloft. It's high on my list.
Looks great, straight to the wishlist.
If the goat won't go to the island. Take the island to the goat.
Tips: You can lay down on the ground to restore stamina when exploring. You want to find an island with water for farming; as flat as possible for building.

this game is so like worlds adrift but instead of building a flying ship its the island you fly (worlds adrift was a game on steam its been abandoned and you cant play it anymore as well)

Lol the flat sail is one you put on the sides to make the island go up and down.
Was I the only one screaming at the video that once he got the balloon he would be able to fly his island over and retrieve the goats lol

Yeah I played this yday thanks to this video. I had no idea it was a funcom game. Hopefully the full release doesnt go the microtransaction route like conan exiles.

You have to bring your island near the other island's to collect the animals

You'll probably have to fly your Island there to the islands that have the animals and then make it so that you can jump from the island with the animals over to your Island without falling
