Lora, never feel bad for how you act and be yourself. It brought me to tears seeing that you were so hurt by trying to act certain ways just to pls the viewers. Lora your health and mental state are your first priority so that you as a person and family can be happy. I enjoy you being 100 yourself. Pls dont take to heart all those haters who try and tell you how to run your life. Pls take one day at a time enjoy your family and your adventure. Remember your mental health is the most important so u can have good days. Pls dis regard the ignorant ppl out there that don't know how to close their mouths or were never taught how not to be rude. Just remember you have 4 kids plus housework and your work to do !You are incredible. Been through that, the only thing was I had to commute by bus and subway everyday for 1 hour to work
and another hour to go home. It will pass and by the time you know it they will grow so fast. It is okay to cry and voice out your stress and frustrations. That is human. The bashers waste their time with hate and negativity. Nothing will come out fruitful. You have a bright future ahead of you! I am now a grandmother of five and just taking it easy! You will in time!

You're doing a great job Lora. I'm filipino american and even I had culture shock when we first moved here. It took me some time to adjust to life in the Philippines. But I am loving it here. Whenever I go back to visit fam in the States, I start to miss home in the Philippines and appreciate our new life there. I agree that going back to making vlogs for family and friends back home and memories will help ease your mindset and pressure. As a family, vlogging can get very demanding and can be a juggling act. I hope you can find your balance. We appreciate your honesty. And we enjoy watching you guys. Take care! Ingat!

Lora, be yourself. I enjoy the raw vlogs the real you and the experiences…not the sugar-coated experiences. Not having visited PI for many years I enjoy seeing the realness through the eyes of you and your family’s experiences. These vlogs are a journal of your time there and a window for us and your family back in the US to see what you and your family have been up to.
Don’t fall victim to comments or sponsors in what your vlog needs to be, it’s your daily life experiences not something contrived for views. People who watch each day and look forward to your vlogs come for a reason whatever that is. You will not satisfy everyone so be yourself because that is all you can control. By the grace of God he will give you the strength and wisdom you and your family needs to guide you through this adventure. Not an adventure of PI but your adventure through life.
Be yourself! As a Canadian married to a Filipino I’ve experienced exactly what you have in the Philippines. The pressure to like everything and every way of doing things, when it’s unfamiliar to us (and usually so different to how we were raised in North America). I found the most freedom when I stopped caring (in a kind way) what people thought and expressed by true feelings. If someone doesn’t like you because you don’t like a style of food or way or doing something, it’s their loss…. Be true to you and you’ll feel a new sense of peace. ❤️
This was an excellent vlog. Don’t quit the channel PLEASE! Your channel have more fans than haters. Baby Siopao is still cute as ever when trying to eat the lemon. Love her facial expressions. All the kids got John tire and looks like he’s growing some grays at the back of his head. Hope he got his voice back. 💖💖💖

Hi Lora, I always admire your vlogs with your children. They look like a very good children and behave well.
For me don’t mind peoples negativity it’s just ruin your day. Making vlogs on UA-cam there is always negative comments and that is human nature, if they’re not agree of what you say they’ll say it, so a vlogger expect the unexpected.
You are beautiful and only God knows what inside us.
Stay positive, and ignore negative comments because it’s part of your vlogs.

You don't have to force being positive all the time. I have found from personal experience, however, that you can attract the positivity you need in your life by choosing to be grateful and being more tolerant and patient. This YT vlogging thing is heaven-sent to millions of people all over the globe. It's revolutionary. It's one way to spread wealth everywhere, which is a good thing. It's a good business to be in and many would want to join. Many did it for fun at first, then decided a full-blown one. It's not only about travels, family, etc. I had one myself which was about digital painting...
Important point is you need to develop a strategy. I didn't have one. It shouldn't be based on emotions.
JustKurias,....so true what you say,.....it should not be based all the time on emotions!! Especially when one suffers from mental illness,....it can really "rip apart" an individual,especially if he/ she is emotionally not strong!! I know this does not apply to many people out there,but I have know myself,previously how weak I was emotionally.When I started travelling abroad,to Europe and Scandanvia,.....I had to learn and adapt very rapidly how to cope with environment,country and people there,and YES,THAT MADE ME DEVELOP " A VERY THICK SKIN", AND BE OPEN AND ACCEPTING LIFE, WHATEVER IT THROUGH ON ME 😊

Its better if you keep everything in the vlog authentic, aftet all haters gonna hate and supporters are going to support. Just make it respectful if you dont like anything. Its ok not to like everything in our culture, food or habbits we dont like some of the cultures, food and hobbies in other countries as well, but it doesnt mean we dont respect them. If you want to continue to vlog,then that's your choice! Don't allow the opinions of others get to you! Just be yourself Lora,as you chosen to be yourself,and sometimes in life,when you are being yourself,you will discover many people,will have negative things to say,....well that goes with the territory of being in "Social Media". You chose what makes you happy! Also I have discovered that when one vlogs,sometimes you don't need to expose or tell people,what you are doing,planning constantly,
because you are not entitled to always tell people your every plan or move,.....it's best at times,to also maintain your privacy!! But that is my opinion!! Just think for yourself,....of course,you are genuine and authentic person,which is very beautiful of yourself! I am sure you will know inside yourself,what to do! You mentioned about mental illness,and your depression. Somehow you mentioned in your previous vlogs taken US that you were on medication? If so,are you still on medication or not?? If you are not,and gone off it,.....it can be dangerous,and you should at least taken your medication along with you! It is very risky if you just went off without meds!!! Many foreigners from different countries,make a very big mistake by not making sure of how they will cope without your meds?? Anybody that has some form of mental illness should always make sure that they know how they can always have their meds on them,just to take precaution,.....as one understands,you are not in USA anymore,and it's already difficult for you to cope with a new environment here,whereas you were comfortable coping in your home country!! How much more you should be careful to take care of yourself! Anyway I really feel pain for you,because,me as a foreigner,.....I have been here in Phils,and yes,it has and was very hard for me coping with everyday life. Even though I don't have to deal with mental illness,....how much more should you make sure you take your meds!! I pray for you,that through all this you become strong!!

Culture shock is difficult & people are people they can be harsh but theres a lot of us who understand & love you & your family. Were lucky for you embracing philippines . Me & my family are living here in ireland the first & second year is hard, my kids were bullied & even me at work but i just need to be optimistic ( & i know you are) stand still & were here always. Suggestion for u is to pick a hobby like reading or learning to cook more of our dishes..baking is an option, too!

Yes always be real and be yourself really but this I say if you feel that you don't want to be were you at now which is being in the Philippines and that you rather be back home in the mainland so it's better that you just be real to your husband and tell him that you don't want to be there that you rather go back home.

Oh i felt also the same when i married my husband,i just make myself busy with kids and my household chores,every 2weeks my family eat outside...now i can’t imagine iam married for 35 years and my youngest will be graduating next year on her IT classes.

So touching and heartwarming episode about first long days separation with John. I can feel Laura's emotional reaction to negative comments, unjustly I suppose. But keep your spirits high Laura, the time when you understand Tagalog much better and know more about our culture you will come to like staying in the Philippines. Try to visit the cities or Manila once in a while or more often so not to feel homesick. I watch all your videos and liked it.

Hi ate lora i know depression is so hard to fight plus you are in the country you are new too just think and reflect the main reason why you doing this..don't worry your the cheer leader of your life is at your back always i mean your kids and your huaband..And for those pep who are bashing just dont mind them..always remember we can't please everyone what matter most is we enjoy what we are doing right now and cheeries the moment while your kids are still young coz time is so fast you the next time you know your kinds are teenager and we are old..love your content bcoz it show simple but true happening to what a family is and mostly the bond of a true mom to his kids that's pricless though...more power guys and God Bless..
tbh sometimes, inconveniences/struggles/problems of a person are the same with others so it's ok to speak out about what you feel coz no matter what happens there will be someone who can relate to it and can give you advice on how they resolve those problems..in short just be real, i mean that's how it is supposed to be in the first place.

Lora, i too suffer with panic, anxiety, and depression and i too cry just about everyday, even if just watching a movie, and like you, im very honest and speak my mind, people here dont like reality, and most are mean because they hide behind the screen.....as they say, its more fun in the philippines, but that has a whole different meaning to me... :) just block the haters as they hate looking in the mirror because they dont like what is looking back at them.
Please watch 8 miles from home a British Family living in siargao they also do vlogs maybe you can get some ideas from them on how they manage to live in our country.
