C8 Z06 Tire Test: Do mismatched tires work on track?

We all know ordering OEM tires for your C8 Z06 can sometimes be rough. Either you can't get them quick enough, or you can't get them at all. So sometimes, some of us risk takers decide to live on the "wild side" (its really not that wild but ok), and grab whatever tires we think we can make work. Since most wouldn't dare try this, I tried it. Not my first rodeo, and won't be my last! lmao....watch and enjoy :)...I started off slower getting the feel of the car. Fastest lap of the day started at the 16:53 mark. 1:27.3 was my quick lap
I do not suggest anyone try this. I only suggest buying OEM tires and driving with OEM spec everything. It's the only thing I will suggest; everything from there is at your own risk.
Tires:
Front- Nankang AR-1 265-30-20 (OEM size 275-35-20)
Rear- Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport-RS 325-30-21 (OEM size 345-30-21)

Amazing drive, car looks very pleasing to drive! Mismatch does work lol when you're a professional. I say better aero like dive planes, chassis mounted wing and for sure better tires and that car will rocket you even further! I can't wait to see the upgrades you go for . Im all the way tuned in!

Man, I can feel that understeer from my office chair. I'm guessing that's the mismatched tires, or maybe alignment too? That rear cross brace might have that effect too if the front hasn't been stiffened with a strut tower brace or something else to balance the car out.

I’m betting the balance of the car sucks because of the tires. Not only mismatched but you’re undersized compared to OEM. Get some Cup2Rs on there.

Jess, Generally do you run with traction control on or off , I’m new to the track curious what your recommendations is ? Thanks

I put it in track mode, then click traction control button twice till it's fully off(you'll see 2 lights on dash), then I roll the dial on center console area over to Race 1 or Race 2. So yes it's fully off when you do that
