Good video. I noticed the Truckee River's full-a legacy of a wet winter, I gather? U.S. 50 Alternate takes you east towards NAS Fallon, and if you're on 80 East of Fernley, you might just see some Navy aircraft doing some training out of Fallon.
Lots of History on 80-1st Transcontinental Railroad, Butch and Sundance rode in the area, and if you go all the way to Wendover, the airfield where the 509th Bomb Wing trained for Hiroshima and Nagasaki is there.

At 6:30, you said the Truckee River is entirely within the Great Basin. Since the Truckee River originates from the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, does that mean that Lake Tahoe is within the Great Basin?

Tahoe is in the Great Basin. Donner Summit on I-80 and Echo Summit on US-50 is used as the divide of watersheds whether water flows to the ocean or flows into the Great Basin.

Nice do-over. & yeah, Fernley is considered to a part of the Reno-Sparks Metro- esp given that the next town on I-80 past it is nearly a hour drive.
BTW I wonder if you have more do-overs of I-80 in NV in the pipeline? That would be interesting.
