I have a question. I created a quiz with a multiple answer question with checkboxes. So let's say they have to choose, from a total of 10 items, the 5 that are correct to the question. So the total points for this question is 5. I tried it and the problem is that it either gives you the 5 points if you get all the answers correct or 0 even if you have 4 correct. Is there a way to count all the selected correct answers even if they don't choose all the correct ones and get partial points? BTW This video is very useful! Thanks a lot!
Sorry for the delayed response. Was looking into this. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this with the "Checkboxes" type question, but you can do this with the "Checkboxes Grid" question type. For the Checkboxes type question, you can control the number of boxes a user needs to click on (i.e., "Select at least/exactly 3 boxes", but there's no way to give them corresponding scores. 3 correct boxes = 3 points, 2/3 correct boxes = 2 points, etc. You can customize the scores if you use the Checkboxes Grid question type. In this option, you can set it so that specific answers are 1 point and users CAN get 1, 2, or three points, for example, depending on the number of correct boxes they check off.
Thanks for the video, I need some advice please. I'm using the form to track learners discipline at our school. So I set up the form where a teacher can tick multiple learners in the class whom for instance came late. My problem is that in the Google sheets all the names are displayed in one cell, and I would want to display it vertically so that I can sort the names and get all the violations of a learner. Can you please help/advise me.
Can I display ten options for any questions in columnar form? Mean to say, if I display ten answers in two columns, I can show the same in five rows... Is it possible?
You can definitely display ten options for any questions. I don't think there's a way to show a list of, for example, 10 multiple choice responses in two columns. It'll be 10 multiple choice in a single column. You can use a second column, but those options are in the Checkbox / Multiple Choice Grid feature... they're not really distinct questions - it's more like a likert scale.
I was looking for a way to have a checkbox that says "Record [email respondent is signed in to] as the email to be included with my response" I saw this on a form I recently submitted and want to learn how to make that
Was this part of the "Thanks for submitting the form" default message that you receive after you submitted the form? In Google Forms, the Collect Email Addresses (in the Settings tab) provides you with a couple options: Do not collect emails, Verified, and Responder Input. Responder Input is where they need to manually type out their email address.
Sir I have to fill data of 80 persons in Google form but each and every time i am opening the first person data is coming in it autofilled automatically what shall I do that each time I have to full so it comes empty nd fresh without autofilled data
Hey i stuck in a problem Whenever i click on an option, instead of tick mark the option's body got cover with a line on that. I really want to get rid of this. Please help If you want i can send you the screenshot
When you click on the three vertical dots for the Checkbox Grid, the options you have available to you are "Limit to one response per column" and "Shuffle row order".
The "response validation" sounded as a different menu so I never clicked on that before watching your video. Thanks a million!
I'm happy it helped!
I rarely leave comments, but your example and illustration was Perfect! Thank you for your skill as a teacher

Hello,
The only one that I see when is "Limit to one response per column".
Thank you for the helpful information!!!

How about using the checkbox grid?
When you click on the three vertical dots for the Checkbox Grid, the options you have available to you are "Limit to one response per column" and "Shuffle row order".
Very helpful, Paul
Thank you!
How to singular check only?
If you want a single option/click, you may want to use radio buttons instead of the checkboxes?
