What an amazing bird he is. To overcome what he went through the first 16 years and become the beautiful little companion he is now is thanks to the miracle that is you. I've no problem admitting I've become a bit obsessed with Gizmo!! He's proper special. His voices have changed a lot but I wonder if his previous owners were an elderly couple? I hear an real elderly man and woman coming from him. He's amazing and so are you. I think fate guided u to him or the other way around. I wish u nothing but happiness together now and for many years 2 come. xxx

@@gizmothegreybird Right? This was maybe 3 % of the Gizmo dictionary! Do you actively work with him too? Like Apollo's pawrents do? Teaching him what kind of materials things are made of, what colours and so forth.....

@@lowandodor1150 we don’t work on materials or colors we just work on fun sounds and fun things he can say. For instance like him saying “wanna go live?” That’s something I taught him 😂
@@lowandodor1150 yeah he only recently started doing that. I think he learned it from his birdie lives he does with his other bird friends.

@@gizmothegreybird Gizmo is a very intelligent Bird. He reminds me of one that I saved from the road after his buddies were hit by a truck and killed. He had a few injuries that the vet fixed up,but unfortunately he couldn't be released as his beak had been injured and so, being young,he came to live with me. And from theb on,he picked up many words, some not so good LoL. I had to rehome him after 5 years, due to me being iLL at the time, but he's still going strong. Kindest regards from 🇦🇺🦘. 💜

They are wonderful pets, but please remember they are a lifetime commitment. These beautiful birds can live up to 80 years old. If you are willing to give them a lifetime of love and time then they are for you xxx
I would love a bird too now. Gizmo is a rarity in the bird community. I think I’ve probably watched over 1000 bird videos and this bird is so intelligent. Apollo is another really intelligent Grey, Cosmo, Einstein there’s a few of them. But the vast majority of birds don’t seem anywhere near as vocal or cognizant and intelligent as gizmo. After seeing so many bird videos rescue and sanctuary videos I just couldn’t get a bird just to have a pet. Some people seem to think that all the birds are like this but you could get a bird that won’t talk or even hates you. We forget that they’re still so close to wild. I love that these people were able to rescue gizmo. He’s just so beautiful!

Gizmo as well as Penny the cockatoo, Buster the cockatoo and Gotcha cockatoo belong to the brightest birds when it comes to communicating with human language and building sentences on their own! LOL, Penny is so funny when she tries to excuse her naughtyness by saying she was distracted because she’s adopted! And Gotcha who says he can’t go to work because he’s got 4 bedrats. Then he says he punched the rabbit Paul, the poor bedrat - so his bedrats are obviously rabbits… 🤣 They’re priceless, all of them!

I just read the "about" section of your channel, my name is Kyle, and my girlfriends name is Emily, and we have some cool animals too (mostly scaley). When we have a bigger house, we've talked about having an African Grey. I would love my kids to grow up with one.

@@carolinemaja2199 Dont have to, person who doesnt get the humor. 'She' feels fine because she gets lots of great food, toys, a ridiculously large, clean, stainless steel cage, head-scratches, time to roam and explore, hang with me when I work, and lots of love. She tells me she's feeling great when she plays, sings and talks endlessly. She also regurgitates and shakes her red fanny for me incessantly while roaming the kitchen counter while I chop up her nightly fruits and veggies. In summary, she's doing peachy because I've Ioved her like my own children.

Why does he scratch so much ??
All birds do..their feathers need constant maintenance and have chitinous stuff on their bases, and when new feathers are coming in it’s actually quite painful.
I prefer the shorter vids. Where there is more 'real' conversation. The one more one communicates sensical, the more he'l learn. I guess not everybody can do this.
Also I guess the more vibe a voice or sound has, the easyer its picked up. As birds are frequency anmals.
Who are Gizmo’s voices? There’s a female voice in there that’s perhaps elderly so it could’ve been his previous mom who you indicated was elderly. It’s just a sweet voice and it doesn’t sound like you ,not that your voice isn’t sweet lol. I just noticed he has a few voices. I’m guessing one of them is your sweetie Kyle…
I am very enamoured of Gizmo. I can tell he flirts with you though. Isn’t that funny, I know you’re his person and he wants to kill Kyle sometimes lol. I just picked up on the flirting though, they know don’t they! They’re so Flippin smart. Is he cuddly at all or is he too hormonal for you to cuddle? I’ve heard that African greys are not a particularly cuddly parrot unlike a cockatoo or maybe a macaw.
He's mumbling alot this time. I guess it depends who is talking to him. The better the pronouncination, the better he picks it up.
