As a Thundercat fan, I enjoyed the sexy bass and the fact that the last track rolls seamlessly into Apocalypse in my playlist. For what is essentially a throwaway EP, this project is surprisingly very pleasing to the ear and stimulating to the mind.
Another great record by Kendrick Lamar. Untitled 06 is such an amazing song. The music definitely sticks out on this record (in a good way) but the lyrics are amazing as always. I would love to see Kendrick Lamar do a track with Hieroglyphics
As much as I enjoy Theneedledrop he's really developing a fanbase of drones who wait for him to give them the OK on whether they should or are allowed like something or not. I've literally seen people go from LOVING a project to second guessing themselves after his negative opinion or hating a project to praising I after it received a high rating.
I agree and disagree at the same time. Yes there's times where Anthony makes me see something from another perspective and past the hype it's not as good as I thought or more flaws than I thought. doesn't mean I dislike it. Other times I completely disagree - his review of EGO death was BS for me. His review of a new place 2 drown was also off the mark for me.
It's kinda sad that this album is getting more and more forgotten with each passing year because of it's obscure compilation status and it not being a studio album. I feel like the most discussion this project has got in recent years was when Childish Gambino dropped 3.15.20, and people were talking about the similarities of the two.
About the last third of Untitled 7: 7:38 "We're being given a very intimate moment from the recording sessions" About 30 Hours on TLOP: "The last half could've been cut, not sure what this meandering moment was for" And this is why I don't take this guy's reviews seriously sometimes. It's clear he's a Kendrick fan so anything he does is held in a higher regard
maybe cause this project is meant to have that unfinished style so of course one is not gonna very strict on it. While on TLOP it's different cause ya know it's supposed to be a full length LP but he's right though the last half of 30 hours literally ruins it.
+sonic34314 So basically if anything sucks or seems rough about this album, it's automatically pardoned because it's unmastered? Just seems like an easy excuse for its faults
That transition on Untitled 07 (Levitate) is incredibly chilling. It just starts with this feeling of love towards where you come from and ends with an extremely dark turn.
Omg please shut the fuck up, you and about 10 other people have said this and it just isn't true. Kendrick is in top of the rap game, we get it, but he isn't the best doing it bro, stop being a dickeater. Have you heard every rap album from every artist? If not, then how do you know Kendrick is better than everyone else? You just come across as a fanboy, let that man breath
+OrangeLightDistrictGaming What did I hurt your feelings? No need to get so hostile over a youtube video cuz I already know your bitch ass aint saying nothing when I really pull up outside your house. Im not about to argue with you over the internet so give me an address or SHUT THE FUCK UP
8 years later and I still genuinely believe this is an incredible album, even after disliking DAMN and not being as into Mr Morale as previous albums. If any other rapper made this it would be their best.
Yeah except this is almost my favorite release by Kendrick, it's probably his most solid rendition to date, because although they are afterthoughts, comparatively to his larger and much longer albums, there are sometimes bigger gaps to fit looser instrumentations and atmosopheres rather than faster and more tempo-sensitive cyphers. He has tons of great moments on this album, and I think it bears remembering. I think you're taking it too seriously. That's the point of this record, dude. It's meant to be just sorta blaze in parts, on purpose, to see how raw the album really is.
I mean I know for sure I love it because of the undeniable credibility he gives to even his less-worked on material and that's why I like him. But my favorite part is that he appreciates music. Good soul, good funk, and great vibes come from his music. It's not overproduced shit like Travis $cott or Future or even Lil Yachty.
Overproduced in terms of vocal effects? Or in terms of beats? In terms of stuff like autotune, yeah there's a fair amount of that. But I wouldn't say that it's by any means "overproduced". Also, it takes like little to no effort to make a typical trap beat haha
Untitled Unmastered is super under appreciated in my opinion. This is kendrick experimenting the most with his sound, even if it’s just left overs. I genuinely love this project and it’s astonishing how talented Kendrick is. | 06.12.23
Kendricks left overs are better then the Life of Pablo, Kanye better burry up and drop something else to make some more money... hopefully K.dot makes a video for untitled 08
My favorite channel by far, you've kinda brought me into a perspective of music that I haven't really looked into before. Thanks for that man. Keep at it for real!
Very creative how you made the review unmastered. From the album cover floating instead of being in the green screen, to the sudden cuts and videos of you talking on top of your face, to the "strong 8" being a drawing, al so there was no album cover in the collection behind you. Really creative.

Yes there's times where Anthony makes me see something from another perspective and past the hype it's not as good as I thought or more flaws than I thought. doesn't mean I dislike it. Other times I completely disagree - his review of EGO death was BS for me. His review of a new place 2 drown was also off the mark for me.
rivermana Well I obviously wasn't talking about U then wasn't I.
The second track was definitely my favorite after listening to the whole thing through twice..
It's kinda sad that this album is getting more and more forgotten with each passing year because of it's obscure compilation status and it not being a studio album. I feel like the most discussion this project has got in recent years was when Childish Gambino dropped 3.15.20, and people were talking about the similarities of the two.
It will always be untitled unmastered and unforgotten
IIRC Glover's was supposed to be a proper album while uu. was just a compilation one.

Fantano: "EVERY PROJECT HE COMES OUT WITH GETS BIGGER, BETTER..."
Kendrick: *makes DAMN.*
late reply but DAMN. was more enjoyable to me in my opinion
Kendrick: *attempts to step to microphone*
Anthony: im feeling a strong 9 or light 10 here.
I still get chills when I hear the little boy singing “Compton is where I’m from...”

About the last third of Untitled 7:
7:38 "We're being given a very intimate moment from the recording sessions"
About 30 Hours on TLOP:
"The last half could've been cut, not sure what this meandering moment was for"
And this is why I don't take this guy's reviews seriously sometimes. It's clear he's a Kendrick fan so anything he does is held in a higher regard
Shut the fuck up
Nobody cares drake is ass
+Wolf Outlaw What does Drake have to do with my comment?
maybe cause this project is meant to have that unfinished style so of course one is not gonna very strict on it.
Kendrick's throwaways kill your favorite rappers hardest project
yea
said you and 3 other guys with the top comments
+TenDaiZ What if my favorite rapper is Kendrick
Time loop?
Black hole?
Paradox?
Omg please shut the fuck up, you and about 10 other people have said this and it just isn't true. Kendrick is in top of the rap game, we get it, but he isn't the best doing it bro, stop being a dickeater. Have you heard every rap album from every artist? If not, then how do you know Kendrick is better than everyone else? You just come across as a fanboy, let that man breath
+OrangeLightDistrictGaming What did I hurt your feelings? No need to get so hostile over a youtube video cuz I already know your bitch ass aint saying nothing when I really pull up outside your house. Im not about to argue with you over the internet so give me an address or SHUT THE FUCK UP
Idk if that green-screen inaccuracy was intentional or not but I found it hilarious.
+YizWasHere I believe it was to go with the 'unmastered' theme of the episode. :D

8 years later and I still genuinely believe this is an incredible album, even after disliking DAMN and not being as into Mr Morale as previous albums. If any other rapper made this it would be their best.
When your throwaways are better than Drake's best effort
Yeah except this is almost my favorite release by Kendrick, it's probably his most solid rendition to date, because although they are afterthoughts, comparatively to his larger and much longer albums, there are sometimes bigger gaps to fit looser instrumentations and atmosopheres rather than faster and more tempo-sensitive cyphers. He has tons of great moments on this album, and I think it bears remembering. I think you're taking it too seriously. That's the point of this record, dude. It's meant to be just sorta blaze in parts, on purpose, to see how raw the album really is.
Lucas Jenkin i feel that, I can't tell if I really love UU or if I'm a ultra mega Kendrick Stan
Lucas Jenkins I can't agree with that last bit lol. But you are right, Kendrick does have that "good vibrations" feel to a lot of his shit
Explain to me how they aren't overproduced then, I'm all ears.
Overproduced in terms of vocal effects? Or in terms of beats? In terms of stuff like autotune, yeah there's a fair amount of that. But I wouldn't say that it's by any means "overproduced". Also, it takes like little to no effort to make a typical trap beat haha
untitled 08 >>>>
untitled 05 blows my mind every time i hear it
5 and 6 are my favorites...anna wise and ceelo green are amazing in those songs
"best batting average in hip hop" this is true
Everybody gangsta until fantano writes "eight" in the description instead of "8"
Untitled Unmastered is super under appreciated in my opinion. This is kendrick experimenting the most with his sound, even if it’s just left overs. I genuinely love this project and it’s astonishing how talented Kendrick is. | 06.12.23
"Kendrick is doing what Kanye thinks he's doing"
- a dude on the internet
That actually makes sense lmao
Kendricks left overs are better then the Life of Pablo, Kanye better burry up and drop something else to make some more money... hopefully K.dot makes a video for untitled 08

+Calzonzin he performed it on fallon but it was called
'untitled 2'
+Drake Dayton no. It was good but only because of chance
0:45 why did “EP… thing…” make me laugh harder than it should have 💀💀💀
My favorite channel by far, you've kinda brought me into a perspective of music that I haven't really looked into before. Thanks for that man. Keep at it for real!
untitled 02 sounds exactly how the album cover looks with those muddy. swampy horns. it's an experience and a half. | 05.21.23
yo the title says unTILTED instead of unTITLED, may or may not wanna fix that
unpimped unbutterflied
Very creative how you made the review unmastered. From the album cover floating instead of being in the green screen, to the sudden cuts and videos of you talking on top of your face, to the "strong 8" being a drawing, al so there was no album cover in the collection behind you. Really creative.
damn i miss this kind of energy in his reviews
ok
Kendrick could fart over a jazz instrumental and Fantano would still give him a 10/10
yet somehow this got an 8.
Just autotune it and Kanye will take it
+Luis The Nigga gave him 1 ten and you fools are talking reckless. foh
+joe smo Because it was leftovers from a fart.
Even his farts are incredible
I like how this review is so unmastered that even the green screen is peaking.
"eating your leftovers and raw meat" from the TPAB interlude has a new meaning.
