Good for the drivers of Chicago. One thing down there that would be different from Minneapolis. They won't take any shit, Minneapolis needs to start staying strong and fighting those ass backward politicians!!
Well said Tim! that was my favorite part, LMAO, it will make it less safe if drivers can make more to cover cost and profit. The bullshit that comes from these companies amaze me.
Only one way to fix this. Every Lyft driver needs to turn off the app for one week. Not for one day on Valentine's, but for one week or even a month or for as long as it takes. Prior to Lyft taken away lux option wages were decent. Bring it back to that or we quit. I used to average 70 to 80 hours a week. I have completely quit the platform for the past few months. As long as drivers are still driving for lyft, nothing will change. I don't even understand how one can drive for 1 hour non-stop and make $20 minus expenses, cuz that's what it is in Los Angeles. Half an hour ride will pay you $10, and that's minus gas, insurance, tires, registration, oil changes, maintenance, car repairs, parking fees, and the liability of getting into an accident of course. The reason Lyft is able to do this is because drivers keep driving so that's the problem. They are treating us like slaves, bottom line, trying to pay us as little as possible. Every rideshare driver should have some dignity and respect for themselves and tell lyft to take a hike.
Star rating should increase cost to customers by 10% per 0.1 stars. This way, bad riders pay a fine and can get back to regular prices by being good passengers.
I had ride 55 miles and 1 an 20 minutes to drop off customer. The customer paid Uber 65 dollars and I got paid 30.50. So I do further checking the customer was paying 21 dollars for insurance.
They keep raising fares only for passengers and literally $0 is passed to drivers.
if drivers are making what uber/lyft are saying then any ordinance shouldn't worry them
Right!
In Seattle, from the Airport, Lyft charged the passenger $68 and paid me $30. And I have to drive home 45min. SAD.
That’s what public transportation is for🤷🏽♂️

2 things that would help . 1 dollar extra for every ride. No effect on cancellation rate for cancelling due to “ safety issues”!
The vast majority of gig-app workers, if you properly and completely account for expenses, taxes, etc., are in reality making less than minimum wage.

Uber math " If you get paid less, you gonna make more!"

Anything under 60.00 is a joke
How the hell can safety get worse!!! Bullsh!t. This is the same old scare the customers tactic.
Uber should only your part time gig, not a damn full time job.

Yes, we need unity!!!
