As I'm watching boy I felt you with that birtch plywood. It's pure crap. I found masking off your cut on both sides prevents tear out. Something you may want to give a try. It's a crime what that plywood costs tbh.
I have really enjoyed watched you diy projects. I have 1 suggestion. On the top removal panel, add a hole that allows access to the outlet in case you need to plug something in, like an iron. Otherwise, it was a learning experience for both you and me! Thanks for sharing😁
I give you a lot of credit my God girl you did an excellent job for the first time. I’m a woodworker also older 69 but I’ve always wanted to attempt to make a cabinet to go girl keep up the great work, honey.
I love that this has been extended to a full movie interior room makeover video. it was fun rewatching the transformation of the laundryroom all over again but in one whole format
I watch a lot of people build stuff but you are the only one who’s keeping it real!! This is what my struggles look like as well!! I really appreciate you sharing all your mishaps. Now I know I’m not alone! Thank you!!
I love your dad. He is so funny. Please do your next project with your dad and his string man jesters when you downpour back steps projects. The laundry room is looking great to start off.
Stunning end result again Tiff 👏🤩 Awesome job, and I'm totally stealing the magnet idea if I replace our access panels one day - so much easier than all those screws! Quick tip: the best scratch cover-up I've ever used isn't a stain or a pen, but a simple walnut. Literally just rub a - cracked and ready to eat - walnut on a scratch to darken it. (Unless your allergic to tree nuts of course, commenters 😅) I'm also loving your filming style and Toni's hilarious edits!! 😂 That as well as you showing your setbacks and fixes for them, makes me think: "Yeah, maybe I could try a bit of minor woodworking one day." Seeing your enthusiasm and determination shows me exactly why previous generations of my family were all carpenters and engineers. 💗 Such lovely, positive/uplifting and *useful* content; thank you so much for sharing your projects with us!
Wow, and I thought I was worn out just shopping for appliances! But, dang, girl, you built yourself a laundry room where there had been nothing but a sad little alcove. Amazing!
I am so glad I found your channel! That 3 hours went by so fast. Thank you for including all the little things that don't go to plan, I can so relate!!! And as a fellow Floridian, totally understand about the weather when you have to work outside. The rain has a mind of it's own. "You thought it was going to be a nice day today? Ha, here's 4 inches of rain and now you get to use your kitchen as your workshop to rip cut those planks."
Hello. I don't know your name. I'm sorry. Anyway, I saw your show for the first time on you tube when you did the bedroom makeover for the room that your dad stays in when he visits. It turned out great. My husband joined me in watching your laundry room makeover. Girl, let me tell you, he was amazingly impressed with your skills. He absolutely loved your show. He does all these things at our home for us. He is very handy with building, plumbing, and many other projects. All self taught. He told me he figured you are hispanic or hispanic mix. He is from Puerto Rico. He just wants you to know he is very proud of all you did in your laundry room he is.He will be watching your show quite often. He is 63 and says it is very impressive that a woman has building skills like you do. And mistakes are normal. That's how he learned. Keep pushing for what you want to do and don't ever let anyone tell you different. Keep up the great work. Maria and Chiqui
You must live in a really nice area because to have the space to trust a dog unfenced is awesome. I love the long content and surprisingly I didn’t get bored even though I can’t even make it through some movies. I’m looking forward to more long content😁
I just love to see the mistakes honestly because you are keeping it real, love your commentary and that you list mostly everything you use. And BTW great work. Also seeing you interact with the animals the way you do. You are a good soul and I'm glad I found your channel. Thanks for motivating me to do more. If I could just stop messing up my measurements 🤦♀️
I loved your little meditation moment as you sat in that tiny space where the drawers went. 😅Thank you for being relatable!! The laundry room looks amazing and you’ve given me serious inspiration!!
Awesome job! Usually, I tape and then mud between pieces of drywall. There's a special tape you can buy that is made for that, and a special drywall mudd for joints, then of course, sand, then paint. When cutting plywood, to make it not chip on the edges, cut it wedged between other scrap wood, clamped together, and you won't get chipping like that. Tape helps, but using a long, thin pice of wood to cut through will give you a great, clean edge, just like you did for that 1/8th inch, only clamped, will prevent the edges from fraying. Your clamps are very helpful to hold the wood, but I wouldn't do angled picked screws in plywood, as it is usually not strong enough, especially for a piece of wood that big. Instead, I would use a 1x1" or 2x2" or similar joining board on your corners. Additionally, I would assemble your cabinet as close to where it will be as possible, especially because you are making a large cabinet, and you are using plywood. The boards you put in there may help, but for the short ends, I'd use at least a solid wood 1x1" minimum, be preferable a 1x2" or even a 2x2" solid piece of wood. On the longer edges, I would use a minimum 2x2" or even a 2x4" solid piece of wood. For now, I would just go with what you have. If it starts having structural issues, I would reinforce it with solid wood. Good job on the banding. You can fold it for around sharp corners. Definitely stain and seal the entire cabinet, as it will be around humidity and water. To get rid of the fuzzies and the small sawdust, there is some tacky, puddy like stuff to get that off, and be sure to wash and dry your "fuzz-free" rags before using them, or they will, in fact, have fuzz. If you do a large project like this again, I would consider building the cabinet in place.
You should be very proud, you did a great job. I am definitely showing my daughter your video so she can see things are not impossible. If you come across a problem, stop, reset, or maybe take a break to clear your mind. Yes, mistakes are made, but this isn't the end of the world. She needs to see how you made some mistakes and kept at it, figuring out what you need to do to fix the issue at hand. Great job, and thank you, I know she will learn from watching your video.
I watched each episode of the laundry room transformation. It was a great series, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Love your personality, sense of humor and the mistakes that made us chuckle! Nicely done!
Hello. I just found your channel and Love it. I have one suggestion that I really have to make. My dad built furniture and never used wood glue. He saved his sawdust and added glue to it and filled in all holes with it. It was very easy to just sand after it dried and could never tell where he did it.
Just discovered your channel and have been admiring your work and then come to this video. I have sle lupus, 3 year kidney transplant recipient, and am finally back to being me. Did it take a huge portion of my life? Yes! Did I let it stop me? Absolutely not! Your village will be the best support system you've ever seen and rely on them when your body tells you to, never ignore it! You'll learn to live with it and thrive with it! Your shirt that says stronger than the storm will be your new motto because you are stronger than this! This is only a hurtle in your story! Prayers you find peace and comfort and can learn to love yourself in this new season! Much love! 🥰
Hi Tiff, I spent most of my weekend watching your videos, mesmerized by your craft. You explain so well and I have learnt a few things that I'll use on a regular basis (like why you don't use MDF in a wet room without proper primer) Thank you for making DIY so enjoyable, for being yourself, for showing mistakes and your thought process, and.. well pretty much everything. 😊😊 Also laundry looks AMAZING!!!
You did a fabulous job. Your laundry room is beautiful and your panels allowing access but covering the "unsightly" is genius! Thank you for sharing with us!
I watched you from start to finish,an you are a great inspiration for me. I always watched my Daddy do this type of work,an if I was trying to make or build something I would always call Him. Since He transitioned in May 2024,I didn't think I would try any more. Watching you build the laundry room cabinets has truly inspired me again. Thank you kind soul. Blessings! Wonderful job.😊
Beautiful work. I love the out come and I also love the humor you stuck in for short breaks in the video. I plan to do my laundry room but nothing like yours; just plan to put in a cabinet, new floor, and paint. You inspired me. Thank you and I look forward to watching more of your videos.
I just found you this week and I love you already! Your trials and mistake just show you are HUMAN and learning. We can all appreciate you being vulnerable. Great job on everything!
Girl, when you’re mudding large seams like that, skip the premixed pink joint compound in a tub. Get the powdered stuff in a bag. You can mix it a bit thinner than that pink shit comes. It’s way way cheaper, and then you can put it on more smoothly after making it a bit thinner. You also probably wanna skip those ass plastic drywall knives, but those are minor criticisms. You got the job done regardless. Way to go! Mudding is definitely an art form, and I am NO profesional. But I am overjoyed every time I get the chance to do it and learn a little more and get a bit more experience. Edit: Okay! 3 hours later I see you mixing your own mud. I’ll admit, this project started as a dumpster fire but as you worked, week after week, you can see both your skill and confidence grow exponentially! Did you do everything the “best way” you could have done it? HELL NO! But who the hell cares. The end product looks amazing. The build quality is great! And most importantly, you are proud of it and it works for you. I don’t normally spend 3h15m watching someone tackle a small project like this, but it was a fun watch and I’m proud of you! Keep it up! You’ve learned so much on this project, I’m excited to see where you go!
Just found your channel Feel like I’m going through your trials and tribulations Smart girl !! Love that this is a long video. Have seen the bathroom makeover. Very nice Thanks for sharing your adventure I have always loved wood working Karen from Florida 🌴💕
Woodworking is your superpower! You make me think that I can do this too The same brand of poly you use also makes a spray can. It will add to the costs I used it in repairing my kitchen cabinets. I would rate it a 10 for ease of use, appearance, and effectiveness in protection.
I love watching videos like this, but my favorite part about yours is not only the humor but your dog and cats LOL. Misty is adorable with how she talks to you
Love the face blow up!!! In the process of remodeling six homes, it never failed to start doing a project that something was a problem underneath!! Enjoyed the video
This was amazing to watch! Even your “mistakes” were inspiring. I love how you were able to make the necessary adjustments to fix them. I would love to be able to do something like this in my home, but first I need some tools!!
I have worked in the construction trade my whole career. I started with my Dad and was always the only girl. 45 years later. I am so proud to see what you're doing. And you show your struggle and your triumphs. Great job, Tiff!!!!
Wow! I had to watch the before and after a couple times because despite all of the cabinetry you built in there, you gained so much SPACE! Despite there being less cabinets and such in the before, the before feels a lot more claustrophobic. Your laundry room now looks bigger! A lot of it I'm sure is the stacked washer/dryer but man, you really made use of the space!
Tiffany, I am SO impressed by what you have done!!! Thoroughly enjoyable video. Dad is hilarious. Thank goodness for him, Toni, and her brother. And the nice man who helped with the plywood. I couldn’t be more proud of you if you were my own granddaughter! I have subscribed to see what else you do. YOU ROCK! ❤ Shirley
I love watching you learning how to do all this stuff & your results are amaising. I believe scoring your plywood 1st with a knife will help stop the splintering 😊
Honestly new subscriber here, I started with your bathroom remodel and am here now and you make it seem like it’s do able to do things out of our comfort zone and we can come back from mistakes with a good attitude and perseverance!(:
I love watching your videos as I see all the real stuff that happens when doing projects. You’ve done some amazing renovations. That darn filter😂. Great Job!
You got 5,000 more subscribers since late last night, good for you!! You're one of my new favorite youtubers, you're so talented and fun to watch because of how genuine you are!
Oh my God! You are so human and so awesome. You tried all new things and made mistakes and learned from them. Love the way your laundry room turned out. You are great.
Tiff I've watched your makeover over a span of 3 days, I have to say I'm proud of you. I'm not so good at seeing projects to the end but to see you come up with solutions to all the mistakes and complete what you set out to do is so admirable.
I'm glad you're proud of yourself, you should be!! Beautiful job, learning as you go and fixing your mistakes with no shame. You're a shining example of what us women can do if we put our minds to it. Great job my girl, with love from an Australian grandmother ❤
Great job! I learned a lot for when I tackle some of my projects. Your Dad busting out that door and saying "We make it happen" with his arms folded was hilarious!
Leaving a like for the good girl, the other good girl work, how good it is to watch the family working a very good flow. I love y’all. Thanks for sharing and I hope and pray that yall have a blessed week ahead my darlings ❤❤❤❤🙏🏽
You are my inspiration! I have gut rehabbed a house with my husband, and we work great together! But once I start working by myself, things get really hard. I'm so proud of you! You're able to work on your own and troubleshoot the problems! I totally freeze and panic haha. I guess it comes with practice. So glad you're still able to do all your projects while having a full time job, that takes patience! Congrats!
You Rock! Love the way the laundry room cabinets seem to match the kitchen cabinets, love love love the great use of space!…that magnet idea is genius! Keep up the great work!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!! Normally ( and I am ashamed to admit it) I would skip a step by step video and fast forward to the end. I simply could not to this to you! You are absolutely personable, talented, funny, ARTISTIC, and a pleasure to watch. Toni is sweet too! Your family support says so much! BRAVO Tiff! Can't wait for your next video . PS. My husband and I have renovated our entire country home, and we are not young ducks. Measuring twice for good measure was more like thrice for us!!! lol Keep up the GREAT work!
I loved watching ur journey. U did amazing work. Thanks for showing all the uos and downs. So many times i have made mistakes and ur video shows that it happens to the best of us. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow Tiff, This is my first time seeing you in action. I appreciate that this was a wonderful learning curve for you and us. I think you did a stellar job, praising your beautiful craftsmanship along the way. I can't wait to see more of your talent 🎉❤
I really enjoyed watching this long video. Great effort and I love your honesty. I could be you Nana. I'm 64 years old and I love doing rugged things and DIY.
I love that you show the process, the thinking through it, the fails and the wins the whole 9 yards. You truly inspire me to start DIY myself plus I love your personality and the two of you make a great team. Great job please keep posting. I’ve even turned on the bell which I don’t do for anyone lol😂
WOW Tiffany!!! You did an AMAZING job! Pro finishes!! I'm a virgo rising, so I LOVE the perfectionism with the aesthetics. SO inspired! I've been watching building channels since I was a kid--dabbled just a little with DIY furniture restoration--but THIS is giving me the courage to build my future home. New fan and sub!
Also a short girl! I haven’t built much yet but I have a good deal of tools, many of which I haven’t used yet. It’s overwhelming to have to learn so many tools at once. Thanks for your great videos. I cannot wait until you get the workshop you deserve. Good job on the laundry room. I’m impressed that you built it in your yard using only a small work table. My projects end up a bit wonky when I do that.
That was a heroic effort and came out looking better then a professional job by far with those removable panels, omg. You are amazing! And very inspirational!
i bought a few kitchen cabinets they were press board and already chipped inside the box I returned them and built a set out of plywood and spray painted the got the hardware from ikea they are so much better than I could ever buy as a counter top I poured my own acrlic with less in it to glow its not that hard if you just plan It out
I thought we would never get the laundry room done. Very long video. But the work is beautiful. You and Tony are just dolls. I love seeing you with your father.😊
Thanks for watching! If you're working on a project and it feels like it will never end, you're not alone! keep going, it will be worth it at the end :)

Thanks for watching and for the tips! lol yeah it was definitely a rough learning experience but I love how everything turned out 😆
I'm so happy that this is a LONG Format video!!! ❤❤
very nice job. I am going to remove a dish washer and make cabinets there and now I can make doors as well thank you from California.
You’re welcome ☺️
Just found your channel
Feel like I’m going through your trials and tribulations
Smart girl !! Love that this is a long video. Have seen the bathroom makeover. Very nice
Thanks for sharing your adventure
I have always loved wood working
Karen from Florida 🌴💕
Woodworking is your superpower! You make me think that I can do this too
The same brand of poly you use also makes a spray can.
Thank you ☺️
@@diytiff No girl! Than YOU!!
New Subscriber!! 💫
I have worked in the construction trade my whole career. I started with my Dad and was always the only girl. 45 years later. I am so proud to see what you're doing. And you show your struggle and your triumphs. Great job, Tiff!!!!
I absolutely love your father! He has an awesome sense of humor!
YOU ROCK!
❤ Shirley
OMG! You have the patience of a Saint, I on the other hand would of thrown those boards into the next county. 😂
I love watching you learning how to do all this stuff & your results are amaising. I believe scoring your plywood 1st with a knife will help stop the splintering 😊
I love how this all came together in the end. You're really talented. It must of been extremely tiring but worth it in the end. Great job Tiffany! :)
Thank you so much!
Great Job!
Thank you ☺️
Girl I feel for you. I completely understand. This is something that I would do. But I'm glad you showed your failures and that 😅 you don't give up
Misty is so cute!!! That face looking up at you! 💕
What a pity the movie is over… 😂 Exciting series, charming characters, thrilling episodes! 👏 Eres un sol! ❤
Way to go Tiff!!!! My new she-ro!!!!! Gorgeous!
I really liked the outcome. Your hard work really paid off.
It would be a lot easier to put in stock kitchen cabinets. That way you could put a bar at the top to hang clothes. You are a lot braver than I am!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! Bravo
Tiff I've watched your makeover over a span of 3 days, I have to say I'm proud of you. I'm not so good at seeing projects to the end but to see you come up with solutions to all the mistakes and complete what you set out to do is so admirable.
Beautiful! and so much hard work.. came out great. Put a basket the color of the wood up there in that space over the cabinets ;)
I'm glad you're proud of yourself, you should be!! Beautiful job, learning as you go and fixing your mistakes with no shame.
You're a shining example of what us women can do if we put our minds to it.
Great job my girl, with love from an Australian grandmother ❤
Aww your dad reminds me of my dad. My dad was also a strong, funny man.
This build came out awesome! High five Tiff🙌 I'm enjoying your channel👍👌
Your dad is a great sport and very comical. 😂😂😂
Congrats!
I admire your tenacity.
I find you very courageous to do what you do and you’re doing a good job
I love your videos. They are so real. Wish you could do more!!! Thanks for being you ❤
Thanks ☺️
You Rock! Love the way the laundry room cabinets seem to match the kitchen cabinets, love love love the great use of space!…that magnet idea is genius! Keep up the great work!
I enjoyed every minute. You are very entertaining 😄
You did such a great job. Should be very proud trying and succeeding to do something you've never done.
Thank you so much ☺️❤️
I loved watching ur journey. U did amazing work. Thanks for showing all the uos and downs. So many times i have made mistakes and ur video shows that it happens to the best of us. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow they came out so beautiful.
Cool Dad! 😊
Wow! You should be really proud 🥰
I am so proud of you as well. Thank you for sharing.
I understand how ABSOLUTELY AMAZING it feels to finally have somewhere to put your laundry soap 😂 Great job!
Wow Tiff,
This is my first time seeing you in action. I appreciate that this was a wonderful learning curve for you and us. I think you did a stellar job, praising your beautiful craftsmanship along the way. I can't wait to see more of your talent 🎉❤
Thanks ☺️
I really enjoyed watching this long video. Great effort and I love your honesty. I could be you Nana. I'm 64 years old and I love doing rugged things and DIY.
You did a wonderful job. Carpentry is such a rewarding profession.
I love that you show the process, the thinking through it, the fails and the wins the whole 9 yards. You truly inspire me to start DIY myself plus I love your personality and the two of you make a great team. Great job please keep posting. I’ve even turned on the bell which I don’t do for anyone lol😂
I have enjoyed watching you make your home a home. You are very smart. I am empressed by your work and doing a good job.
Good job Tiffany!
Thank you! ❤️
LMAO your Dad is to funny. You did a great job.
Omg Tiff even though iv seen these vidios before i still watched again because i knew you would make me laugh😂and you did❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it 🥰
New subscriber here. That looks amazing.
Nailed it!!! It’s beautiful, and well done. ❤
That was a heroic effort and came out looking better then a professional job by far with those removable panels, omg. You are amazing! And very inspirational!
Thanks 👍❤️
I have watched so many diy video projects but yours is the only one that has been entertaining as well! I laughed as much as I learned!!!
It’s a reminder that all professionals started just like this! Such an improvement!
This is fantastic! You are amazing!!!
YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION! So fearless in the face of a challenge. Kudos, lady! 👍🏻👍🏻😁
i bought a few kitchen cabinets they were press board and already chipped inside the box I returned them and built a set out of plywood and spray painted the got the hardware from ikea they are so much better than I could ever buy as a counter top I poured my own acrlic with less in it to glow its not that hard if you just plan It out
I thought we would never get the laundry room done. Very long video. But the work is beautiful. You and Tony are just dolls. I love seeing you with your father.😊
Well done, looks amazing and we have so much fun to watch you, I laughed a lot 😄
Thank you so much 😁
Thank you for sharing. God bless.
You could paint or wall paper the back of the doors if it starts to bother you
