Drano is 92% Sodium Hydroxide. Drano doesn't dissolve hair, it makes it slimy so it slides down the drain easy. With the belt it only dissolved the glue that holds the vinyl cover to the leather. Hello Tyler, first you really should wear safety glasses when working with any acid or base. All that it takes is one drop to blind you. These chemicals are very unforgiving. He made aluminum hydroxide. There is no acid that can be created since he mixed 2 bases. All that happened is the actions swapped anions. Aluminum hydroxide is used as an antacid.
People might call this stuff boring, but you’ve still gained a following! I think your videos are very relaxing and I find myself stuck watching no matter what
I'm surprised the aluminum foil didn't bust open you're jar! Draino and aluminum have an exothermic reaction (gets really hot when mixed), and could've thermally shocked the glass!
Juan Chico I was afraid the foil and draino would have a similar effect. My best friend and I did that in the middle of our woods and my mom ran out of the house screaming thinking we shot off a 12 gauge 😂
Considering Drano DOES have a fair amount of Sulfuric Acid in it, these results are what’s to be expected. But as for the rope, the reason it wasn’t affected all too much is due to the fact that it was made from Nylon, which is not organic, so no reaction occured. The Aluminum foil is most likely due to an oxidation reaction, showing that Drano also has some form of an oxidizing agent. Interesting.
I think on the belt, the draino just reacted with the oils and dyes that are on a belt but didnt do anything to the leather itself. Try putting a piece of raw leather into drain-o and seeing what that does.

Im like 90% sure its the fat in the leather not the stain and thats why you see it with the clementines also since they have fat in the oil's i could be wrong but i dont think its the stain or polish(unless it has natural oils in it)
☝
I want to see the belt cleaned up
Hey make that drina into a drano or your going to get attacked by Grammer Nazis
Not a great idea, mixing aluminum foil and an oxidizer🤦♂️.
Now I'll breathe in the acid......
HI I AM GABBY I AM 9 I LOVE CAT 😙😐😉😍😗😚🤨
Zionic they just said they’re 9 they don’t comprehend life
it makes hydrogen. so itl be really inflamable
He made aluminum hydroxide. There is no acid that can be created since he mixed 2 bases. All that happened is the actions swapped anions. Aluminum hydroxide is used as an antacid.
Although I’m thinking that foil is Al2O3 and I could be wrong but I don’t think it’s elemental aluminum
OMG please wear a face shield! or at least some eye goggles to protect your eyes!!!
Omg some ppl complain about everything. Omg
OMG OMG OMG lol
@@TheSeanpatrickobrien LOL.
People might call this stuff boring, but you’ve still gained a following! I think your videos are very relaxing and I find myself stuck watching no matter what
Always wondered what would happen when I kept my oranges in a mason jar of drano. But thankfully this bearded man made a video on it so now I know.
Anybody else think he was going to shave the beard at first??
I'm so glad you didn't by the way!
Dang I hate it when I drop my clementines and leather belt down the drain
same bro
I'm surprised the aluminum foil didn't bust open you're jar! Draino and aluminum have an exothermic reaction (gets really hot when mixed), and could've thermally shocked the glass!
Drains aluminum = hydrogen gas
You should to two different brands of Drain solution and compare them while testing the abilities
Will they help me with my drains?
That would be cool and good
Nope.
I'm so mad and happy looking at your profile picture. Ugh fuck 😂😭
CoughE they helped w mine
do NOT use Drano. it will ruin your pipes and you will be out a fuck ton of money. it happened to my family.
Gotta be honest..I wasnt expecting any of those items lol I like ur style my dude😎
I don't know how I found this channel, but I love it! The effect on the aluminium foil was what surprised me the most.
Now soak belt..fruit..egg..meat... lemon in gasoline for a month 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Then try to light them all on fire "to test" you know what I mean 👍😊
Lemon is a fruit🍋
Yes mam
Idk why but if you do this again I feel like you should use lemon juice
You didn't even taste the oranges... they looked perfectly preserved!
Dude, it's DRAINO. That stuff will kill you
PurePlays Yeah, but SCIENCE!!!!!!!!
PurePlays I’ll be the nice person lol hey man they were being sarcastic but I respect the concern ✊🏽
I'm the only one that wanted to see raw meat
Yes, because you're gay

Well good to know that if I get aluminum foil stuck in my shower drain, drain will do the trick.
Use some of that "The Works" drain cleaner with aluminum foil.. That'll give you one great July 4th 👌🏼
Juan Chico I was afraid the foil and draino would have a similar effect. My best friend and I did that in the middle of our woods and my mom ran out of the house screaming thinking we shot off a 12 gauge 😂
🤣 it does! My brothers used to put it in two liters shake it up and throw it and it would sound like a gun went off
We used to use the 5 gallon jugs for the water stands. And it would sound like a bomb going off. Lmao
You are his black twin lol
@@awesomemodz7239 lol 😭🤣🤣
Tyler:the belt kinda has a chocolatey smell
Me:WAHT CHOCOLATEY SMELL🤢🤮
Tyler:these are gonna stank
A little bit later
Tyler:it smeels like chocolate
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂so funny
Tamara Stephens wtf
The draino probably reacted with the varnish on the leather belt.
Please wear safety goggles when you use harsh chemicals. I would be sad if any of them would splatter in your eyes. Love the videos!
I'm sure its been mentioned, but dude, eye protection!
Pfff... a real man rinces away his eyes with Drano!!
@@Chong1975 nah man. Real men wash their eyes with nuclear waste
All the draino did to the belt was dissolve the leather preservatives and products off of it

Edit: it smells
Accurate
@SnixSnark Draws he means the juice that falls out first.
Video Idea for the next Video : "Covering My Beard In Drano For 7 Days..."
Next vid: *I left Drano inside my body for one month (GONE WRONG)(AMBULANCE CALLED!)*
9:21 Me before eating my second burrito from Taco Bell
I swear I thought he was gonna be shaving his beard and I was going to be so sad, but idk why I ever thought that.
I think on the belt, the draino just reacted with the oils and dyes that are on a belt but didnt do anything to the leather itself. Try putting a piece of raw leather into drain-o and seeing what that does.
Aluminum foil and draino = hydrogen gas and it's highly flammable
So is no one gonna comment on how satisfyingly he put those Oranges 🍊 🍊🍊🍊 in the jar like that
Yep. I'm commenting. Scene ..oranges. gloves ... Tin foil bin.
More Robynique Clarke I knowwwww
It was a smart idea eating while I watch this!
Watcha eatin
Lol
*Watches while getting ready for work*

Eli Holt *wears draino instead*
Are you made of drano or somethin?
@@rikergatenby1447 I'm dead 😂
That's a kind of man who would not shave his beard off but rather cut his hair and get a cap
The spider web consistency is the DNA from the leather because it is still cow skin.
I was waiting for that Drano orange to squirt in his eyes.
Also, the way he kept sniffing the chemicals... 🤦♂️
I'm fascinated by these videos. But I'm also setting here watching them thinking "damn, Tyler is hot".
