You can hear the influence of the great composers that surrounded Clara during her life. What a gorgeous piece and great interpretation of her work. Thank you for posting this!
Like all great music, it leaves one with a deep impression that is inexpressible emotion. Can only be felt, never expressed in mere words. Only the music itself can do that
Probably the best composer as a woman and her music great... with a lot of ups and downs in ger life with a mother who passed away when she was a girl and a sick husband... a mean father... should have been VERY difficult and up on top an artist.. God Bless Her...
Actually her mother didn't pass away, she left the family when Clara was about five years old because she committed adultery (no wonder, the father was a terrible human being...) When Clara was I think 16 or so, she met her mother again in Berlin and stayed in contact with her
I want to learn this sooo bad, but the thing is.... I can read sheet music. I basically play off tabs, my parents don’t wanna get me lessons b/c they think I’m already very skill, which I’m not. But at least I get to listen to this beauty.
It's dead easy to read music, it took me one week to learn how, the only reason you aren't learning it is because you are holding yourself back. Don't make excuses
You'll find it on IMSLP, a score database (you just have to enter "imslp clara schumann" on google to get it) That nocturne is from Soirées musicales, op. 6.
My music teacher showed me this earlier :3 I enjoy classical music and I don't talk much *yes I know that's kind of weird even though I'm only 9 I sadly will never be normal like the other kids They all scream ALOT but I'm used to it XD
Robin Rat - be your wonderful self. You are part of the normal and very much part of humanity. Enjoy the music you like and know that many love you for who you are. Be well and enjoy this gift of life!
@@michaelj1237 The first theme is very similar to Chopin Nocturne op.9 No.2: ua-cam.com/video/YGRO05WcNDk/v-deo.html, also the way she used ornamentations and chromatics. Great woman, great pianist, great musician, what else might I say. Well, her husband is the top musician in all history of piano music, together with Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Ravel. But he is different from the others, very different, all the top pianists have been played his music, but the public....Think only of the lied The Beiden Grenadiere, a short piece, but what vision. Here on UA-cam of course. mario

A beautiful nocturne. No need for explanations really. Clara's a composer in her own right.

i dont know if its just me, but i can hear her express her love for Robert. such a romantic nocturne.
Indeed, and every great composer has been influenced by another

I wish these were performed more. They deserve an audience.
I played it when I was 13 years old for a concert in avignon in tribute to Clara Shuman
I am sure it was a lovely concert, too.
Il tema iniziale è citato da Schumann nella sua Novelletta n. 8 "voce di lontano"

But otherwise, I agree :) she was an amazing woman. Fanny Hensel was a great composer, too!
Great piece I absolutely love it, I am trying to find a guitar version.
Something wrong with your volume dude

You don't need lessons to learn to read music. You have the talent it seems. The rest is just hard but satisfying work.
You can teach yourself to read music from books, websites and UA-cam videos, if you want

You can buy the Complete Piano Works in 3 CDs by Jozef de Beenhouwer, which contains nice interpretations and is relatively cheap.

reminiscent of a chopin nocturne. nothing wrong with that though.
Alot of ways it sounds like the Chopin nocturne no2 in Eb major
@@robertrussell3935 in which parts do you find them to be similar in "a lot of ways"?
Some melodies remind me of his prelude in E minor

Der Anfang hört sich ziemlich ähnlich als 'Die Rose meiner Friede' von Robert
Clara is as talented as robert
