There’s no doubt about your intentions to achieve the supreme bliss of nibbana or in other words to be enlightened by practicing the teachings of Buddha. But did you ever know that this forest tradition is rejected by Siddhartha Gautama Buddha? He was in the forest doing this hard line for 6 years yet got nothing and he abandoned the method? Only Jain Mahavira was advising his disciples to practice it. After Siddhartha’s demise many Jains became Buddhist monks to get benefits and included their point of views into Buddhism meantime making it also a useless religion. Now this has become useless as the real experiment that Buddha advised to do has been covered with Jain teachings and Hindu beliefs along with worshiping traditions. Good thing is, in Sri Lanka only in one place the real method is found and taught. In it the real practicing procedure is guided. This is a topic for the Wat pa Nong pa pong Sangha. Please refer to monks of that tradition for explanation. Be careful not to spread false information. My understanding is that there are no issues these days. More of a nothing burger. However not a topic for me to comment on.
