I think this is the best episode ever made, especially loved the detail given of the robbbery in Hartlepool- seemed like a well planned and researched job 👍👌
Anyone up for “Crimewatch Bingo”? - Every time Nick tells us not to have nightmares - Every time David Hatcher pronounces moustache as “must-osh” -Every time Sue says “that was the last time anyone who knew him / her saw them alive” - Every time a suspect is described as “well built” - Every time someone is asked to “come forward” - Every time Helen Phelps refers to a prostitute’s “clients” - Every time Nick mentions that “Incidentally, there is a substantial reward on offer” Every time Nick or Sue asks, “Was that you?” Every time during a reconstruction that “a patch of waste ground” is mentioned Every time Nick describes Photocall as “Television’s version of the Wanted poster” Many more I’m sure!
The Lynette White case ended up being one of Britain's most shameful miscarriages of justice. Fantastic 3 part documentary about The Cardiff 5 called 'A Killing in Tiger Bay' on the iplayer.
The Lynda Hunter case also a notorious case. It turned out to be her husband, and he's suspected of several other murders. The case, and potential other murders he may have committed, were the subject of a recent episode of "In the footsteps of killers".
I am hoping that in your vast collection that you have 2 Crimewatch File episodes from 1994 - "A Chapter of Revelations" about a murder of a retired teached in Plumstead, and "Murder Without Motive" about the murder of a doctor in Middlesbrough. Lost the video I had with those 2 episodes. really would like to see them again
@@chris8374 I lived on the same estate, whinney banks, as Reginald Wilson who was Dr birketts murderer and yes the murder without motive is definitely on here. Reginald Wilson was due out not long ago but the judge and the shrinks ordered him to serve a whole life tariff because he refuses to admit his guilt, put a number of prison officers in hospital and shows no remorse and revels in his notoriety
it would be a masterstroke if the BBC brought back the original format Crimewatch - it knocks half these modern crime dramas outta sight - and its real john!
It is back on TV but it's totally different because crime is totally different. A lot of the crimes here either don't really happen these days (raiding securicor vans) or would have been solved very quickly with today's technology, with no need to appeal for information like this.
Tomorrow's episode should be somewhat interesting, as it's the only time during her 11 years as co-presenter on Crimewatch that Sue Cook is absent..probably due to her recently giving birth at the time.
That has to be one of the funniest things ever shown on CW, esp. followed by the gang bellowing 'get down you basstadds' in their NE accents. Pure jokes!
Crime watch is a good thing to watch and see for real life on the streets in the 90swas good to stop the TEEF just phone the number and they you good thing don't you think
Nice one Redcard. From what I recall the next episode is the one presented by another lady can't remember who? If I'm correct the April edition is quite disturbing with a brutal murder on a train? Why do the April editions always feature the most savage crimes???
That’s very likely the Debbie Linsley Murder. Still unsolved, though lord knows how as think they have DNA and it’s unfathomable that it would be the killer’s only offence.
I think it likely that he was a mental unit patient rather than a career criminal & he probably overdosed or killed himself at some point afterwards. Back then DNA was not routinely taken, so any crimes he might have committed would not have samples to test against-that is the only thing I have been able to think of that would explain it.
I went on an outwound bound course in North Wales in 1988. No wonder we was told not to speak in public because they did not like English people. I never knew we could of been fire bombed.
It wasn't ever a large problem it was more about people having 2nd homes that were empty that would be put on fire. The government worry that it was going to be like ira but it didn't really get that extreme

It’s been uploaded for 6 minutes and I’m here - this is becoming my nightly ritual!
Ah I’ve seen this one - look forward to tomorrow nights instalment!
Thank you again I was only two at the time of this broadcast and have been a massive fan of CW so it’d great to b able to watch it Xxxx
Shut. Up.
This show was a big help to law enforcement !
All of the presenters are so professional but endearing at the same time, especially Helen, Jacqui and David.
Miss out Susie for any reason?

I think the Dr Birkett one is on here. I saw him in Hartlepool Hosp in 1979.
Loved the sign off when Nick Ross says "And the both of us".

It should never be regarded as ‘entertainment’ …
Rather excessive use of car changing in the Hartlepool robbery I think it was 4 at my last count at one point changing cars after only half a mile.
It was a bit excessive but it worked I suppose as they got away!!
It was quite funny but was a quality job by the Geordie boys !!!
The silver granada was a mk2 granada 2.8i ghia x and was actually nimbus grey not silver.
Used to have one years ago B306 DFE think it's still about.

You can dance to the crime watch theme
There is actually a video on UA-cam of 2 ladys doing the "crimewatch uk dance"....🤣🤣
Should be considered a techno banger IMO 😅
That’s just sad

I tried it earlier whilst making soup, it's quite a body rocker 😄

Always interesting to see the new intros. This one definitely not as good as the previous. Need that chopper 😊
Rishi commandeered it!
A Nissan bluebird nice little run about
Better than a Datsun Cherry?
It’s interesting how they tried their utmost to hide Sue Cook’s heavily pregnant state 😂
@SpeedbirdConcorde That's how weird things were back in those days.
@SpeedbirdConcorde Get a life
I read Kirsty McColl was pregnant when she had a song out, so on Top of the Pops she had to sit down, so it wasn't visible.
Not really, why on earth would they do that? She is shown from exactly the same angles as in every other episode
Succeeded, too!
