What I love about Diablo 2 is that no matter the lack of new content, I still love playing the game. I only play hardcore but it’s one of those games that holds infinite replay value. Ill be playing it when im in a nursing home most likely.

Wouldn't expect much from Blizz until they get through VoH for the troubled D4 in October. But, D2R S8 bug fixes after nothing in S6 and the Korean gameplay change patch in S7 is progress. Since D4 is still a mess of a game, at some point MS will likely look to improve D2R as the long-term legacy entry point of the Diablo franchise, and that is when significant D2R QoL and balancing, or even a D2R 'Salvation' expansion, might be announced as MS move on from D4.
They didn't fix any of the instant kill bugs. They somehow think the high lightning damage that instakills you is part of the game. It's not supposed to be. Bonespear on those vipers triggering physical poison damage that instakills you. Pretty much all damage related to enemy maximum health modifiers since they doubled - 4 times increased all of the enemies health in 1.10 but didn't adjust those damage modifiers. Summon stat modifiers in relation to the new stats. Most of them are too weak when they are supposed to be able to be end game builds. Poison damage bug. Poison damages by frames in LOD, but did not in the original. Which means it does not do damage when taking any other kind of damage. This bug effects whirlwind as well where a lot of whirlwind hits will miss entirely instead of triggering a proper miss because it damages by frames. It used to not damage by frames and have a fixed speed it did damage in. It also effects every other skill that does damage by frames like all lightning skills and inferno. Lightning skills used to multihit in d2 original because that was their special capability they had in Diablo 1. Since LOD they only hit a single time, but it often doesn't do it's proper dps output due to them having 1-maximum damage. Multihitting is why they have those numbers. Without multihitting the entire element just kinda sucks. It's why the amazon lightning damage is so high, but every other classes is so low. Inferno skills are the worst skills in the game because they used to not be frame reliant and do rapid damage per .1 of a second. So their original damage is extremely high, and people still thought they sucked too hard to use. Now with the frame bug they do like 1/10000th of the damage they used to do. They are the worst skills ever put into an action rpg. A lot of these are bugs that were going to be fixed in the second expansion of diablo 2 that didn't happen because blizzard north got fired. There are literally like 100 other bugs in the game since LOD that could also be looked at. These are too few bug fixes for how many are still in the game especially since I sent the entire list to their feedback system during beta. Since I did not expect them to be able to know about them since they have 0 knowledge of how they are supposed to work. Now it's too far into it's lifespan to not see skills drastically underperforming in comparison to how op other skills are.

It’s funny because I actually prefer no changes. The game is great. There’s still so much to do. And it keeps your old characters viable and you can still work to min max them.
I really love trading in d2r, even using d2jsp and it was blast at the start. Now we have same situation like in d2, bots took over, i still love the game but im not motivated at all.
honestly, just allow mod support. Straight up. Blizzard won't have to do a thing. edit: I stand corrected. There's soft mod support but I want them to go the extra mile and support it on the same level as Starcraft where there's servers and everything.

Few days ago ran into the disappearing items issue when 8 kb limit is exceeded for the first time. Luckily I lost only 7 6 mf small charms, but would be nice if they fix it some day.

I wish game journalists would ask the obvious questions to represent our Diablo 2 community (which is still obviously large): "Blizzard, why have you stopped adding new content or content changes to Diablo 2 Resurrected Seasons?" It doesn't matter if we all know the answer (i.e. they don't care because its not making money). I want to HEAR it from Blizzard. Make a statement so we stop getting our hopes up for nothing.

I wish they fixed cursor and hitboxes or whatever the jank is that makes some clicks connect half a screen away. I'm always slightly puzzled where my traps end up in, because there happened to be a mob nearby the click and it has to be placed in front of that monster if you click the monster. Or so. So many targets steal the click. Also when mob stands near your teleport it's impossible to click the teleport. Or any other thing on the ground or objective or so.
Man, i hate when that happens. I have to run away so the enemy can free up space for me to click on the teleport portal or even the waypoint. That's a really complicated situation in hardcore mode.
I came back after like 4 years to play again and the Moon Lord bug is still present. They still seem to glitch out and kill you in seconds. it's been 4 years. why do they not fix it.
If you're talking about the bug at D2R launch where they would desync and attack you extremely rapidly from far away that's been long fixed, since patch 2.2 or so around 1-2 months after release.

They need to add a game mode like a 100 lvl tower increasing in difficulty dramatically as you descend, making all the over powerd builds we have serve a purpose, by the time you have 9 skillers infinity enigma etc theres no actual challenge to be found, make it so every 10th floor is a guaranteed something something with a boss fight increase the rune drop rate every few levels i dunno just something that can challenge the full decked out toons i have would be great, ive literally got 15 of everything almost besides like a tyriels might ive only found 3 of those but thats besides the point they could add stuff if they really wanted to
i dont get it for real, even in the sadest GGG (poe) times, at least ONE guy created SOMETHING for the season.. like tbh they could at least give us something, be it a buff, season of bosses where u can random encounter bosses or whatever idk, but nothing feels soooooo crazy

i still have hope modders will some day be able to reimplement it. It was in the alpha, and i wouldnt be surprised if it was only disabled and only needs a few modifying to the .exe file. But somehow no one is on it.
necros need skeletal archers. Have the ability to just select archers or mages. Their lvl 1 versions of their magic abilities are hot garbage and nobody uses mages. And/or allow the mages to have the higher iterations of their abilities, I.E - fireball instead of firebolt, lightning instead of lightning bolt, ice blast instead of ice bolt, poison explosion instead of poison bolt. Arrows and bolts need magical abilities to enhance the capabilities in playstyles for bowazons. I.E - arrows that shoot multiple projectiles by default, replenish quantity, stat and ability modifiers, etc. Leap on barbs needs to be fixed so it doesn't feel so clunky to use for mobility. bone necros need a sunder charm to fit their build. Bone/magic or w/e it is. ability to turn up the mob density even higher. Alternating pvp zones, kind of like terror zones, but it's an entire area where as soon as you enter anyone and everyone becomes hostile and can kill each other. This would get a lot of play time and really spark new life back into the PVP scene. Act 5 should have blizzard zones where the weather gets really dense and lowers visibility due to the blowing snow. Purely aesthetic which provides an immersive experience. Obviously an act 6 would be phenomenal but I don't think anyone is holding their breath. This would be a wet dream tbh. This is BlizzCon announcement worthy right here and you could sell so many tickets and merch to d2 fanatics who come to see the unveiling of this. Ultimately I could go on and on, but the fact of the matter is, Blizzard has not established a way to monetize this game ongoingly so they cannot afford to put any devs on it long term. I am totally fine with them introducing paid aesthetics or w/e they wanna do tbh to bring an ongoing revenue into this iteration of the franchise to support ongoing content updates and additions. The reason why people like d2 over d4 is simply because of the game itself, how it looks, how it feels, how it plays, progression, etc. The super modernized graphics and crazy godly loot in d4 does not feel good, it's hard to explain but about 5 minutes into d4 I am completely bored, but D2, I can get lost in for hours. Just think about that for a second. People who have been playing d2 for the last 20-25 years are still playing it. The same exact game from over a decade ago and still have a burning passion for it. You don't need to just drop it and make something new, just provide updates to what already works and what people already love dearly without changing the entire structure of the game. The bug fixes and ladder reset is just a slap in the face to be blunt.
This is completely wrong... Bug fixes are way more important than adding the big list of garbage you said lol... There's tons of bugs that still need fixed, and way more important things that could be added than skeleton archers...
I wish they will add npc for transmog, even willing to buy and play battlepass on diablo2 ressurected, such awesome game, but sadly as long as D4 is active, we wont get updates on our ladders season :(
Dang it... So "poison nova damage stopping when enemies are hit" was not fixed... No "lobby games not showing up bug" fixed... Which is a separate bug from the "scrolling down hides lobby games" bug...
they should just have 1 update per year in which they should add at least 1-2 new items or balance changes, focus their team only on that window, and not spend time on small incremental updates like this one.
I know its impossible, but my dream was that they made a new expansion with new dificulty level (like Hell 2), max lv to 130 or maybe 150, hard points could get higher too like 25 or 30 points, you would need to convert the character to dont ruin de game for people who would not like the changes. What do you thing about something like that???
I am wondering why anyone would expect changes to a game that is so good it is played for over 20 years now. Never change a running system, if something already works so good why change something just for the sake of changes.
I for one am not a fan of them changing too many things. Bug fixes, and quality of life stuff, sure. The BASE game can stay more or less as is - BUT - I'd LOVE to see them do something akin to what they're doing with WoW classic though - there's the regular Classic experience, and then there's the experimental realm 'Season of Discovery' - they're learning from that and planning a future separate game mode, which is awesome.
They're not nerfed, they couldn't be enchanted to begin with. The bug fix just prevents the merc from glitching out (and thus doing nothing) trying to cast Enchant on them.
I don't think Bonesy would want to work there where his creativity would be constrained due to corporate overhead stuff and just not being able to change the game too much from its current state. 😛

On PC, sometimes, after accessing stash or shop, weapons are unable to be switched until you leave game and come back in.

They need to add a game mode like a 100 lvl tower increasing in difficulty dramatically as you descend, making all the over powerd builds we have serve a purpose, by the time you have 9 skillers infinity enigma etc theres no actual challenge to be found, make it so every 10th floor is a guaranteed something something with a boss fight increase the rune drop rate every few levels i dunno just something that can challenge the full decked out toons i have would be great, ive literally got 15 of everything almost besides like a tyriels might ive only found 3 of those but thats besides the point they could add stuff if they really wanted to
Player reporting has been not properly inconsistently updated sometimes.
i dont get it for real, even in the sadest GGG (poe) times, at least ONE guy created SOMETHING for the season.. like tbh they could at least give us something, be it a buff, season of bosses where u can random encounter bosses or whatever idk, but nothing feels soooooo crazy

Need to add new runewords so non ladder can get old ladder runewords. Make a runeword for sorcerer 1 hand weapon. Add more density to all areas
If you're playing offline, there's a mod for increased density! I think there's a video on this channel or someone else's...
I play D2R on PS5 so Monster Density would have to be officially added to the game to make use of it

i still have hope modders will some day be able to reimplement it. It was in the alpha, and i wouldnt be surprised if it was only disabled and only needs a few modifying to the .exe file. But somehow no one is on it.

It would be cool if seasons had bonuses - like +25% movement speed for the whole ladder, or X1.5 attack rating, or +100% MF, or other fun stuff

necros need skeletal archers. Have the ability to just select archers or mages. Their lvl 1 versions of their magic abilities are hot garbage and nobody uses mages. And/or allow the mages to have the higher iterations of their abilities, I.E - fireball instead of firebolt, lightning instead of lightning bolt, ice blast instead of ice bolt, poison explosion instead of poison bolt.
Arrows and bolts need magical abilities to enhance the capabilities in playstyles for bowazons. I.E - arrows that shoot multiple projectiles by default, replenish quantity, stat and ability modifiers, etc.
Leap on barbs needs to be fixed so it doesn't feel so clunky to use for mobility.
bone necros need a sunder charm to fit their build. Bone/magic or w/e it is.
ability to turn up the mob density even higher.
Alternating pvp zones, kind of like terror zones, but it's an entire area where as soon as you enter anyone and everyone becomes hostile and can kill each other. This would get a lot of play time and really spark new life back into the PVP scene.
Act 5 should have blizzard zones where the weather gets really dense and lowers visibility due to the blowing snow. Purely aesthetic which provides an immersive experience.
Obviously an act 6 would be phenomenal but I don't think anyone is holding their breath. This would be a wet dream tbh. This is BlizzCon announcement worthy right here and you could sell so many tickets and merch to d2 fanatics who come to see the unveiling of this.
Ultimately I could go on and on, but the fact of the matter is, Blizzard has not established a way to monetize this game ongoingly so they cannot afford to put any devs on it long term. I am totally fine with them introducing paid aesthetics or w/e they wanna do tbh to bring an ongoing revenue into this iteration of the franchise to support ongoing content updates and additions.
The reason why people like d2 over d4 is simply because of the game itself, how it looks, how it feels, how it plays, progression, etc. The super modernized graphics and crazy godly loot in d4 does not feel good, it's hard to explain but about 5 minutes into d4 I am completely bored, but D2, I can get lost in for hours. Just think about that for a second. People who have been playing d2 for the last 20-25 years are still playing it. The same exact game from over a decade ago and still have a burning passion for it. You don't need to just drop it and make something new, just provide updates to what already works and what people already love dearly without changing the entire structure of the game.
The bug fixes and ladder reset is just a slap in the face to be blunt.

I wish they will add npc for transmog, even willing to buy and play battlepass on diablo2 ressurected, such awesome game, but sadly as long as D4 is active, we wont get updates on our ladders season :(

they should just have 1 update per year in which they should add at least 1-2 new items or balance changes, focus their team only on that window, and not spend time on small incremental updates like this one.
I know its impossible, but my dream was that they made a new expansion with new dificulty level (like Hell 2), max lv to 130 or maybe 150, hard points could get higher too like 25 or 30 points, you would need to convert the character to dont ruin de game for people who would not like the changes. What do you thing about something like that???

I am wondering why anyone would expect changes to a game that is so good it is played for over 20 years now. Never change a running system, if something already works so good why change something just for the sake of changes.
I for one am not a fan of them changing too many things. Bug fixes, and quality of life stuff, sure. The BASE game can stay more or less as is - BUT - I'd LOVE to see them do something akin to what they're doing with WoW classic though - there's the regular Classic experience, and then there's the experimental realm 'Season of Discovery' - they're learning from that and planning a future separate game mode, which is awesome.

They're not nerfed, they couldn't be enchanted to begin with. The bug fix just prevents the merc from glitching out (and thus doing nothing) trying to cast Enchant on them.

He's saying it feels unfair to europeans because their end of season grind ends at 2am instead of the very easy to be awake 5-8pm for example

Ofc they didn't change the ANOIYNG chat bug where you can't see any messages including from the game EVEN in single player(NPC dialogs, PlayersX changes, etc..) It is so hard to fix chat issue in few years already LOL Blizz. SSSSSHHHHAAAAAAAAMMMME
