He made the ultimate sacrifice, I got that one down ice cold.
But I was still left brotherless even though he was so bold.
But some people fluff it off and have a cookout on this day.
And the stores have lots of sales in a money grubbing way.
The unofficial start of Summer is celebrated with pride.
But a piece of my life remains missing deep inside.
I still love and miss my brother, so I hope you don't mind when I say.
Make of this day what you will, but for me there can never be a Happy Memorial Day.
