I thought that's what it was going to be. I use virtual switches to control devices in Alexa that aren't in Hubitat. I just add the automation over in Alexa. The beautiful thing about virtual switches is that you can control devices on both platforms simultaneously. So if you're have issues with device integration, turn to virtual switches
Also, rather than adding a final action to turn off the switch, in the device page for the virtual switch, you can enable auto off after x time to basically turn that virtual switch into a momentary switch.
New HE user and I noticed that you used the Echo App versus the Echo Skill. Is that because at the time you created the video the Echo Skill was not available or do you prefer the App over the Skill?
I don't have the Hubitat yet (it's on the way) but I was thinking of a use case for Virtual Devices. let me know if that make sense: If I have something that Alexa not recognizing as a trigger for it's routines (like motion detection in Wyze cam) I can have a virtual switch that will turn on via IFTTT and then set a routine in Alexa to say something for example when the switch is on. is that possible?
You have integrated your nest thermostat, is it still possible to do this even after Google altered it's nest API? I haven't migrated my nest account to my Google account yet so maybe it's still possible for me?
From what I understand as long as you are still using a nest login it will still work. Once you migrate to the google account it will no longer work. That being said, I'm not sure you can install the nest app in hubitat any more.

Likely a dumb question but how do you activate the trigger?
In this case just say "Alexa turn on ". You can of course have other rules trigger the switch
