Avoca pride having a good time with their buffalo kill 🦁

Spending a lot of time with the Avoca pride on a buffalo kill has been one of the highlights from the last few weeks. These little cubs are so playful and seem to be always in good spirits. I guess they feel super safe with the 3 black dam males always close ;)
It is not easy for a pride of lions to take down a buffalo, especially a buffalo from a big herd. I takes a lot of coordination and determination to get the job done. A big male joining the hunt would also definitely help, since they can pull the buffalo down with their immense strength. A big effort but also rewarding, the buffalo might sustain the pride for days forward. Worth the risk!🔥
