Macbook Air 13 2012-2017 , Will start without battery but wont start with it

This laptop has the following symptoms
*Laptop Wont Power Up
*If battery is disconnect and power cable connect it will automatically power up
*Once used and powered down, it wont power back up
*Only way to power up the machine is to disconnect the power cable and battery and repeat

I have macbook air 2017 and my problem is when it's on its running very well and after shutdown it's hard to turn on sometime it's takes 10 hour to turn on
I'll try it, buddy. I have the exact same issue and never thought it may be the trackpad. Thought it was the battery.

i will try this on my 2015 but its weird, how does the trackpad cable make it not power on?
This trackpad also connects up the keyboard which also has the power button on it
@@rickstechrepairs did this completely fix ur issue? everything works on my mac its just when it gets shut down I have to remove the battery and plug it back in
so i replaced the cable and its a no go. is there anything else i can try? i know the battery is good

Make sure you clean up the track pad connector and cable connections before you replace anything as corrosion is more likely your issue here. My Macbook A1466 only powers up with the battery disconnected, as of now. The power light starts green then switches orange within seconds and the track pad remains unresponsive. So I'm using a mouse to navigate. I checked the connector and there was indeed traces of corrosion as seen from the top, but I did a lousy job cleaning it up because i did not disconnect the cable and check underneath!

The issue was solved but my trackpad and keyboard aren't working anymore. Even if I use the old flex cable, still doesn't respond.
I couldn't reset the SMC, but I did reset PRAM, both ways, and still no luck. I also tried turning off the FileVault (which I saw in this video ua-cam.com/video/raLYrHJoTrk/v-deo.html ).
I'm running out of ideas. I suppose I could downgrade the OS (Big Sur atm) but I don't think it's the issue as it was working just fine before replacing the flex cable.
External keyboard and mouse works just fine.
Any help would be much appreciated!
