Yes, I quickly looked at the milk glass ivy and it might have been stamped Imperial glass rather than Westmorland. Also the Pyrex coffee pot is missing just one piece: the metal strainer that fits over the top of the basket.
Rats Scott. Sorry the strainer is missing
“Oh goody, a Scott video!” ☺️ 🔎 🙏
Can’t tell you how much your videos brighten my day. 😊
I'm so glad!
Every time I visit your channel I feel like I could be among either of my grandmothers' collections with them. Your videos evoke sweet memories of those times. "Wait for the cat" is priceless. I lost my precious black Baxter 11/7/2022. From beginning to end, thank you.
If you watch Lady Mary Beth, you could see she recommends punch bowls for serving things like homemade fruit salad.
What a great idea! When I (rarely) make Grandma's fruit salad, there is never a bowl big enough to hold it all. Well, except for my largest mixing bowl, but then you can't see how pretty the salad looks.
The Flame mahogany chair was my star of the day
I love clear glass and have many pieces. Unfortunately packed away because I don’t have room to display them since I moved into a small apartment in my sons home. He refuses to put me in a nursing home. He takes such great care of me and I have my granddaughters and fortunately they love me as much as I love them. I am so blessed.
Correction.. I meant to say Gillinder not Gilmore.
Scott, even with the damage that butter dish is a stunner! Clear glass is so versatile, it can be used in every season any holiday. I am glad you are showcasing it.
I totally agree and thank you, Mikki.
Making me want to shine up my clear glass 😊. I do love the last basket you showed. My former boss would glue rhinestone bands on vases. We had good natured arguments over that! The brides all wanted “Bling” at their weddings. By the way.. tattered sweatshirts are worn by virtuous men. ❤️🐩
The top part of the swing lamp, what a find. They will always remind me of your apartment.
I am addicted to clear cut crystal. In less than a year, I've filled 2 vintage china cabinets 😊
A cake plate is a must have. It turns a hum drum cake into a delightful display or a batch of brownies into something decadent, or a plain lemon meringue pie into something extraordinary, birthday cupcakes become a fancy celebration. I buy them and give as presents.
My grandfather used to send his kids to the dentist in their oldest clothes hoping that the dentist would "go easy on" him re the bill. (1950s) He was a character, definitely a man of his era - industrious and thrifty.
I LOVE the antique and vintage clear glass of various patterns and designs. My side board glitters with it.
I woke up dreaming about thrifting, but it's icy here. Thanks for the shop-a-long. ❤
My pleasuire, Amelia and thank you for watching. Watch out for that ice!
What a great shopping trip
Thank you for sharing. I don't have one favorite. But I did enjoy the comments on the clear glass. So beautiful. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
I love the thrifting day video absolutely love the clear glass I personally love clear glass it’s so versatile love the clear glass basket beautiful for Easter display indeed put my Cadbury chocolate eggs in there always injoy watching Scott take care
I am housebound right now, and sure enjoy your thrifting trips. It's like wandering thru my local favorites.
We’re all cakes round back in the good ol’ days? You never see a 9x12 cake stand…😂
Love the education you give us. Ty!
I had to laugh at your sweater. Today I got ready to go to the grocery store and put my jacket out ready to go, but instead was in the car driving and realized I had on my very ratty sweater I never wear out in public. Well, stayed the course and tried to not look too awful.
I learn so much from you, Scott. Thank you!
I bought me a broken arch glass punch bowl a couple weeks ago and I use it for my fruits. There are other uses for those beautiful punch bowls. The clear crystal and glass makes are just beautiful and people walk by like snobs to it. Makes me sad but makes me happy when I find them for 2 dollars or so. Enjoy watching always.
I had a small one and used it for candles!
I love the clear glass. The 2 handled bowl was an instant favorite. The antique butter dish is beautiful. And I'm always partial to the glass baskets. I have several clear glass pieces from the 40s and earlier that I inherited from my mother.
The little mixing bowl from the 40s was very cute too!
Hi Scott! Hope you are staying warm in your bungalow! I am enjoying my chamomile tea from a beautiful new teacup, along with two ginger snap cookies. Thank you for the inspiration! We are finally going to have a warm weekend and I will be doing some thrifting. I really liked the chair you featured in this video. I have been looking for a new cabinet to display my glass. I wish I had access to some of the furniture you show in your videos. Will have to keep looking! Take care. Have a spot of 🫖☕️! ❄️
Those baskets look great displayed together as a collection. Kinda makes me want to start one!
I love that chair!
Scott's on a Thrifting Mission🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. Those Harsh Wintery Elements are No Match😊😊😊😊😊. GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT CONTENT. THUMBS-UP ALWAYS!!!!!!
Oh I hope you bought that really nice chair with the rush seat! Loved the legs on it.
In the car talking about ham again 😂. Love you Scott!
Scott, that Daisy and Button Variant Glassware is really lovely. What a Butterfish to have. Such a Classy item to get. The design, shape and style. Great video, thank you 👏👍😉
Clear glass is my favorite! You found some beautiful pieces. The console bowl is my favorite. Thank you Scott. Still loving your channel and love the videos about your home.
Thanks so much!
Look forward to your posts! ❤
Thank YOU, Erin!
I liked those baby shoe Art Deco style bookends. I was trying to think how you could use them. Very cool!
i am so drawn to clear glass, esp, crystal so i thought it would be a hot commodity but now i have so much of it.
We have two KMart's in St Croix, USVI. What we don't have is sleet, snow and cold. And good thrift stores! I love your taste and your knowledge.
Wow....i love that you appreciate clear glass
You picked up some wonderful pieces.
My local Goodwill keeps the china sets together but still price it to the moon.
My goodwill breaks the sets up as well...all about making money..
Angers me!
Sunset Blvd one of my top 5 favorite movies!!
Hi Scott. I am a punch bowl holdout. I serve punch at bridal and baby showers. We have a punch bowl in our church fellowship hall kitchen, and it comes in handy.
Clear glass was truly a winner they are beautiful nice find.
Great finds as always Scott! Lots of great clear glass pieces 😊
Love the baskets. Butter dish is a killer.
I love the clear glass! You should do an entire video on the common identifyers of the higher quality, more sought after pieces!
Fun video Scotty! Thanks for sharing!
I love the clear glass. The "bowl" with the handles was an instant favorite. I also liked the old butter dish, and I am always partial to the glass baskets. I have some beautiful clear glass from the 40s and earlier that I inherited from my mother.
The little mixing bowl was cute too.
Because I rarely see any Royal Rochester pieces shown on any of the UA-cam channels I watch, I need to tell you that the sugar bowl you think is Porcelier is actually Royal Rochester's pattern "Red Poppy". They made a whole line in that pattern to include a coffee urn, percolator, waffle iron, syrup, batter bowl, ladle, teapot, pie plate, and casserole.
Merciii 👍🏼🕊️💃🏻
Thanks for taking us along!
Any time!
I want to go shopping 🛍️ with you. 😉
I've racked my brain trying to come up with a way to repurpose the beautiful punch bowls.
Big Colorful Marbles, Shells, some water, and a faux lotus floating on top. 😸
Fruit.
Giant fresh veggie for salad at a buffet
Here’s an idea for the winter holiday…As a centerpiece, fill your punch bowl part way with cool water. Empty a bag of fresh cranberries into the water. Next, place a floating candle (I use a large floating cranberry scented star) carefully in the center & light 🎄. Always a big hit and so beautiful!
@@time4clocks ixnay on the water, it could leave water stains on the glass. Or only do it for a short time, like for a party.
Oh that lamp. I want that lamp
The cute little bedroom lamp?
Great Finds Scott, all the beautiful clear glass! 👌
I love clear glass Will. I want a pork chop plate!!!!!!!!!!
Great video loved all of the clear glass
Hmmm. I think I watched a Crazy Lamp Lady video from the same Goodwill Store!? I recognized the cigar box in front of the plastic tray you were looking at. And the lid only of a candy jar. Maybe you will run into each other some day! Ha!
I love the square basket
That butter dish is truly something special. I have not seen anything like it before. Very unusual.
I like when they put it together as a set.
Clear glass is beautiful.🤗
Researching items is my favorite part of treasure hunting! Love learning the history of things. Whether the unusual or everyday.
Beautiful Copeland dishes and cups at 7:20, but yes, I agree they all should've been bundled as a set. What that store was charging for separate prices was ridiculous. Major props to the clear glass at the end of the video, especially the cello vase, cruet and butter dish.
Found my pulse racing... "Will he save the chair?" If I clutch my pearls any tighter, they'll have to be re-strung. Please let us know it came away with you, and was spared a fate worse than death at the hands of a milk paint heretic.
I'm happy to say that a nice lady saw me filming the chair and she commented on how lovely it was. I convinced her to purchase the chair and take it home. Another lovely antique saved from the chopping block!
That's wonderful news. I hope she enjoys it. $8 .... what a deal ❤️
@@oldcuriosityshop265 glad to hear that. I thought it was the chair that you were using with your library table.
I have my moms punch bowl cut glass lol
The single basket with the straight sides is calling out to be on the tea tray with my silver Gorham Set!
I love that cake stand!
Hi Scott, I love all the beautiful glass/other items you always find!! My favorite piece is the violin vase, I can picture it with a beautiful rose in it. Will that be in the ebay shop? Thank you for teaching us so much and making vintage treasure hunting so fun.
Hi Janice and thank you. The Imperial violin vase will be sold next Monday night in my live sale at 8PM. Tomorrow I release the "live sale preview" which includes that piece. RIght now my Ebay store is empty but I'll be adding more inventory next week. Thank you for asking.
The Spode would have happily come home with me, minus the tea cups&saucers so this set up/pricing would have been a win for me. $1.33 a plate! I liked the chair, platform rocker, heck I even liked the upholstery. The clear glass is beautiful. Thank you for taking us shopping.
Love the cake stand!
Thank you Scott. From this video I learned what to look for to identify my pressed and cut pieces of old glass. I'm rather excited to pull out my loupe to do just that!
T I enjoy your videos so much. Love the little bowl with fruit. Also, you have taught me so much about clear glass. I am learning what is really beautiful. ❤
Nice EAPG crustal glass pieces at the end.....especial the four baskets.......thank you very much
❤ the cake stand
I JUST LOVE YOU AND YOUR VIDEOS
I love clear glass
Bowl looks like Harker. Love it.i collect these pieces...who am I kidding I collect everything. I want to resell but scared I'll do something wrong, also don't know how to start
I bought a very large beautiful punch bowl set today at the thrift store. It came with the stand , the cups and the glass ladle.. 15.99 . My mother always had a punch bowl that we used for baby showers and Tupper wear parties .. , good memories..
I love clear glass. My parents had that Pyrex coffee pot.
Clear glass is always the winner! Had a blast shopping with you, as always! #bringbacktheclearglass
The cake stand and 40’s mixing bowl are my favorites.❤
Some great finds! Can you show us sometime how you clean decanters, vases, cruets, etc.? Would like to hear your tips and tricks on removing stubborn stains, glue from glass and porcelain.
Hello Scott, hope all are keeping warm this weekend, 40 below with wind-chill here tomorrow, bbrrrrrr! My fav was that beautiful Spode china. Such a shame they split it up like that. If they'd sell "place settings" at least u could have a smaller set, like 4 or 6. Spode used to be the "collectible" to have, lol. I had to jump up and go check the bottom of my little glass basket like the last one u showed us. No marks but I know it's old crystal, it was my gram's. Love the sparkle of crystal,it's so versatile. thanks for championing it😊. TFS 🎶🙏🎶🥶
Yes, ivy bowls have pedestals to allow for the cuttings to trail as they root. I am kind of partial to an old glass jar, toothpick supports, and a sweet potato that sprouts trailing vines.
Loved the punch bowl, thanks for putting it back together again!
We are having a heat wave here- expected temp 35C.
I love that 40s mixing bowl- the colours are beautiful.
It sure is a platform rocker, I love them so comfortable!
Love the milk bottle.
Great choices! I think my favorite is the large basket. Like you said, it's refreshing to see a strong structure instead of ruffles!
Handsome Square basket..love it!!
Hooray 22.26 just settling down for the night.
Oh how lovely a new video. Cosied up on sofa while the wind blows the snow blows and its minus 30 outside. Off to get a coco drink and a gjnger snap!
Scott you are a great cheerleader for all the beautiful clear glass. I collect Universal Cambridge but not that calico pattern. I prefer the version with the fruit looking realistically drawn with colored pencils. Stay warm this weekend.
SEAL! Crazy!
I have the poppy patterened waffle maker. It's made by Royal Rochester.
The glass items you picked up are so pretty. My favorite that you showed today was the chair; is that a rush seat?
Indeed it was!
They are beautiful
Love the glass baskets. Perfect for chocolate Easter candy.
Your tiny baskets….I have one in cranberry with a clear handle exactly like yours and I believe I found it to be Morgantown. Mine is etched State Fair 1921. Might be a place to start. 😀
I always enjoy going along with you on these thrift stores! The Spode China was pretty and probably not made anymore but I have seen prettier! The little lamp is precious! I like little lamps in the bathroom on counter. It's a softer light. It's such a joy to visit you!! So fun. Take care. 6 more wks of winter says the ground hog! ☕
I love the cake stand
Wonderful horse!
