- This is part one of my time at the tri-5 nationals in Bowling Green KY, I had a great time meeting new people and seeing familiar faces amongst the thousands of classic chevrolet cars from 1955, 1956 and 1957. The car show in Kentucky put on a great event with a 1955 classic car giveaway, drag racing, swap meets and a family friendly atmosphere filled with classic car enthusiasts. Here we meet old friends David, Mack and Paul whom I met at the Tri-Five Round Up in Pigeon Forge TN link to the videos from that show is below. I had a great time learning about Dave's 1957 bel air and the beautiful love story behind his classic as well as meeting Richie passionate classic car enthusiast wishing to go back to 1955!
John shared his 1956 bel air that he has had for 42 years and the beautiful paint jobs he had done.
The Danchuk Tri-Five Nationals is an annual car event for 1955, 1956 and 1957 Chevrolet car series. The car show is held in Bowling Green Kentucky and has great success with close to 3000 registered cars.

Love your videos enjoy them.my frist car was a 1957 Chevy two door sedan and still have it getting it out after it been parked for 35 years . seeing the guy with the 55 black and silver brings back memories of mine got married and had kids just now getting it back out thanks for all the videos.im getting the fever again

Very interesting stories. When I was about 6 years old I remember riding in the front seat of my cousin's brand new 1957 Belair Sport Coupe which was Matador red with red and black interior. It was the first new car that I had ever ridden in. It was such a thrilling day for me, I'm now 71 and still in love with the 57 Belair. Thank you Rana for another great video!

Hi Rana, Beautiful day there. Oh Yes, the gas filler in the 56 chevy hidden in the taillight was cool. I knew that before you were born. The 83 Y.O. man who said he would go back in time to what it was like. Me too! I lived California Dreaming with the hotrods and corvettes. There will never be a time like that again. Different world for for sure. Back then it was drag racing, malt shops, Girls, hot weather, the beach, surfing, and nothing but fun.
In 1955 the Chevy with the 265 HP motor was beating the flathead motors. In the early 1960's was " AMERICA", closest thing to paradise on earth. none of the problems today. And the people and stories are the same from old timers. That's why i love history and want to keep old school alive. Rana: " Snap your Finger right now" and watch 30 years go by. I will be gone, at lease with a Marine corps burial. Hey! I told you the fella's would like you didn't i?

When you talked to the older gentleman with his red 55 chevy you was 10 cars or so from me. Evidently I wasn't around my car at the time but maybe I'll see you at next year's show. Enjoy your videos!!!

Next year I'm celebrating my 50 years of ownership of my 57 Belair. This is my first year missing the TRI 5 nats after blowing my engine in the traps last year while drag racing. I will be there next year. Better than ever and ready to race.
