I love how everybody gets SO UPSET about this! I guess none of these people realize that blood on submerged clothing is destroyed within a couple of months. You can see it but there's no way to extract a DNA profile after that amount of time. I've read several papers about it and a new one just came out in a Canadian journal last month.
The lever action rifle is more than likely a Marlin model 336. They were made in several different calibers. The most common was .30/30 Winchester or .35 Remington. The 336 is one of the most popular Marlin rifles ever made so there are thousands of them on the streets.
Interesting fact: The Granddaughter I do believe and heir to the Winchester estate is one of the most intriguing mansion with doors leading nowhere, steps leading into walls, false walls, hidden rooms, and one of the most haunted place in the world that to confuse the spirits that plagued her constant construction was done on the house leading to all the crazy steps, stairs, etc until the day she passed away. Your comment made me think of that useless information 🤣
I don't see blood stains. I see a rust spot on the front. The " boob cushion " stain looks like mud. I'm not an expert so it should still be checked out because it's still very suspicious. Maybe the person was assaulted and the dress had evidence from the assailant (s) on it.

There's a lady missing with a bridesmaid dress, for something like thirty years. I'll try to find it. I believe she disappeared in a range Rover or a ranger. Marty Evans, Astoria Oregon? I can't see if the dress matches, the piece you have could of been under a top, I don't know, tell police or check with Adventures With Purpose because they have been sonaring and diving the places where she may have driven in to the water, no it's an old pick up truck also. Thanks
You always have so much fun. Sure, wish Brit had joined in the dive. He always finds amazing things. The prom dress is heart wrenching. Weighed down and one of the pads were missing is troublesome. It did look like blood. If there was a wire in it, that would have given it the same effect. I sure hope it wasn't. Good job as always. Love you guys.
Would it be worth doing a "reconstruction" of the dress and putting someone in it, taking photos and releasing to local area to ask if anyone recognises the dress?
I don't know if they could extract DNA after being under water like that. I bet that an ad in the local papers or news station telling the story and showing to get dress would help. Whoever she was, she has family and friends out there that know that this was the last thing she wore and will definitely recognize the dress.

That looks less like blood and more like dye off the dress. The fabric is in pretty good shape. FYI, the beading is probably attached with monofilament which is a plastic, not regular thread.. It's 'clear' so is often used for beading. BUT the rest of it is a thread, also probably some synthetic, but it does break down. It doesn't look like something from too far in the past. Nothing distinctive that says "whoa, that's all sorts of 1974" or some such. You MIGHT be able to take a Q-Tip and rub it on the stain with some regular water and then dip that Q-tip in some hydrogen peroxide. It would be a VERY crude test, but if it bubbles, it is probably something organic. If it doesn't... well, it doesn't mean anything because it could still be blood, but too degraded to react.

Unbelievable! Well your 22 looks like a one piece Walnut stock made by Marlin I think it's an 18 + 1 shot tubular magazine. The lever action I'm going to take a guess and say that its another Marlin as well and I'm going to say a 30-30. Decent looking fishing rod. You almost had all of the proper nomenclatures correct. LOL... I noticed that as well.
Thank you. Scuba diving is amazing for sure
In the summer I aim to make that a permanent feature on my face 😆
Keep it up, Jeremy! Looks like you're having a great time with your channel.
I was just called out on that yesterday. They said, why are you shooting the intro at the end of the dive? Whoops. Haha
@@exploringwithnug I think we all do that. Oftentimes I get into the video and it bugs me... Why did I say that? Or, I should have put it this way. I constantly critque myself so you know, it is what it is.
Hey you guys know jared , adventures with a purpose ? He posts here on you tube he has a channel . he did a story and investigated did dives and sonar searched for a missing bridesmaid, see if the dress you found is near the area or in same state could be linked.
Actually we are friends. I’ll talk to him about it and see what he says
@@exploringwithnug any updates?
Where was the dress found? Like what state ? Ive been doing some digging and would like to narrow my search
North Georgia. Bartow county
Exploring with Nug , So Alyce Designs covered vintage clothing in the 80s and 90s
Could we be potentially looking for a cold case ?
Based off the RN number it’s from 1984
Could also be from a case in Southern TN...please make sure your cop friend also checks TN in case they went over state lines, also Alabama and NC are close enough too
Long knife! I just subbed. I think I saw you on AWP? Anyway, I ran across your channel and liked it, so here I am! Thanks for cleaning the rivers and lakes. ✌️
Spray a bit of hydrogen peroxide on the dress pad and if it bubbles, use a Q-tip to gather the foam and put it in a plastic baggie and take the dress along with the bagged Q-tip to the police 😉
I would turn it in anyway. It may put more closure than you could imagine. Be safe and keep digging.
I had a 30.06 rifle that looked just like that. Lever action.
I love how the rocks are all fused to it. Awesome mantle piece
🙂
Hi Jeremy did you get any answers on the prom dress?
I wish magnet fishing up here in Maine and I found a barrel full of chemicals a barrel full of Mercury
I really like you 2 together. You guys are the best.
Only missed a couple or 3. That's a passing grade.
Prom dress... Lets just hope it was an embarrassing accident and not a evil accident.
A passing grade is way better than bombing miserably. Awesome
Improving your skills you are. Hmm?
👍👍
The rifle looks like a Marlin Model 60
